Camera work is always excellent with nice full shots of the the woman's faces and bodies during the scenes. Not like most American scenes which spend excessive amount of time in detailing the close up sex act(dick in ass for example) with no time on the actresses reactions, looks, stripping forplays, etc... to what is happening. [/quote] Of course, you can´t please everyone and Pirates was obviosuly not aimed at raincoaters. Personally I found it not only very good, but it also gave me some hope for the future of porn. But, there is one thing that puzzles me about Pirates and quite a few other Digital Playground releases; it has do to with the thing that was raised by the original poster in this thread: the Barbie look. DP is a company that aims at women as well as men and my experience is that many women really dislike the Barbie look (hairless silicone blondes). Women also want the female actors to look beautiful, but perhaps not to look like plastic dolls come alive. Why the preference for this look? It's certainly not edgy or exciting, it just makes the product look like stereotypical porn. And at times one can otherwise get the feeling that you guys are aiming at something more than that. DP is one of the best companies in getting girls on magazine covers, photo shoots and being photogenic is as important as being hot in video. From my understanding, some girls do like the whole barbie look but I can totally understand what you're saying. Personally, I've always gone for the girl next door look, one that I can actually believe I went to school with. It would be really cool if any girl in this biz have graduated from a GOOD 4 year college for once. I would be impressed.[Link] |
