Was fairly astounded to read on the Pixies site; All of our DVD movies are produced on RITEK and PRODISC brand Recordable DVD media. Our Recordable DVDs are 100% compatible with standards created by the DVD Forum, an organization made of the ten companies that invented the DVD format. Unfortunately, DVD-R technology is newer than some DVD players, so not all of the older players can read the discs. But all of that is changing. In 1999, under 50% of DVD players would recognize DVD-R. In 2000, over 75% of the players on the market could. By 2001, over 90% of players were compatible. According to our research, by March of 2003, there are now over 900 models of DVD players on the market that will play our DVDs with no problem at all.
Do they produce their own DVD's and simply burn them using cheap DVDR's? Or are they copies of other movies?? [Link] |
