The conventional thinking has always been that people prefer hardcore sexvids to non-penetration, softcore. But, as you point out, hard sales are down, soft are holding steady. The best answer I can come up with is that people want "quality" and much of the hardcore product is put out by people with no training or talent in video/film production. The other answer for the downturn of hardcore video sales is, of course, the internet. Bottom line: I agree with you, Heather can do softcore scenes, and they will sell. The "issue" is that LA Direct is the #1 supplier of performers for hardcore product. So, they will push Heather in that direction. And is that good, in the long run, for Heather's career. [Link]

But I will admit that he usually gets many of the Grade A girls, and if you are a celebrity and want to do a nude pictorial you certainly aren't going to Penthouse or Hustler (sadly).
