Is there any chance that ADT will introduce a facility to include a poll when someone creates a new thread.
I'm not sure what the correct technical HTML description is for what I'm trying to suggest, I think it's PHP??
It's just that on another forum I post on, when you create a new thread they give you the ability to create an in-built mini poll into the thread, you can usually include up to five options.

I think it would be a really great addition to the forum and make the Polls thread a lot better, because you'd actually have a proper poll if you get what I mean. Rather than a random collection of peoples ramblings. Would be statiscally useful as well.

Sure, I could do that. I rarely read the polls forum though. Maybe you could start a poll on this to see the interest level?

I think it would be cool. I've seen it in other forums and liked it. I mean, I do like the free form way we have now of answering polls but most forums that have this also allow people to make detailed responses.

I know people like the free form way of doing things. But the way it's done on that website you can combine the two so it's good. I'm kind of a stats man so it appeals to me doing it that way.
So I have to start a poll on whether we should have polls in the polls forum.......hmmmm I'll give it a go. I'm not sure what I'm going to pick as the subject line though!

vBulletin has this in some versions. The poster can vary the number of voting options.
Whenever somebody suggests it, the majority say they want to see the comments people write. But that hardly gives a quick overall view.

i've suggested this numerous times. i think it would be effective for yay or nay polls. yeah, you wanna read the comments, but do you want to read 3 pages or yay or nay?
that is a poll in itself.
