Given that fact, isn't it safe to assume that IR is now a great, career-boosting option for starlets and stars alike? The funny thing is that IR used to be considered a "career-killer" (esp by girls and porn store owners from the South) in the 80s and early 90s. Now it's a career-maker. Look at how Jewel DeNyle's career took off several years ago. Now look at Lisa Ann's career and some of the other veterans who came back e.g. Julia Ann. Look at the pro-am IR stars (e.g. Janet Mason) that crossed over. And those are just the MILFs. So many of today's top stars (e.g. Shyla Stylez, Tori Black, Sasha Grey, Bree Olson, Hillary Scott, Jenna Haze etc) do IR regularly and some even became popular on the back of their IR scenes. Beyond the top stars, there are gonzo IR specialists like Sara Jay, Flower Tucci, Trina Michaels, and Kelly Divine, all of whom are fan favorites. Then there are IR fetish queens like Barbi Cummings and pro-am queens like Erin Daye, Raven, Susan Reno etc. Nowadays, the newbies/starlets (e.g. Andi Anderson, Tara Lynn Fox, Crista Moore) take to IR like a duck to water. That's reflective of a generational/cultural shift and it's a great thing. Of course, you still get veterans (e.g. Carmella Bing) and newbies that don't want to do IR (for personal reasons or dodging/racist reasons) but I think they're in the minority. Bottom line: If you consider the girls that don't do IR versus the girls that do IR, I think the pro-IR girls are generally more popular and successful. What do you guys think? Agree/disagree? One of the biggest and best known IR companies has cut way back on production in 2011. The party for IR isnt over but it will return to its pre-glory days. [Link] |

Such chemistry is truely rare in IR porn, or any genre of porn for that matter. Even casual porn fans can easily become enraptured by Tori Black's film presence in hot scenes like West Coast Productions' "Black Teen Punishment" and Black Ice's "Little White Chicks, Black Night Sticks #2" Now as for Alexis Texas, she had her share of Black fans in 2007 and 2008 to be sure. She craftily marketed herslef to that specific demographic gaining covergirl shots on multiple IR titles in those two year respectivey. Like many IR fans, I also faithfully awaited Alexis Texas's IR debut during that timeframe, but alas it never came :-( What I had naively believed to be a targeted PR campaign in an attempt to build consumer demand into a frenzy for a future IR release under Vouyer Media,Evil Angel or Elegant Angel was instead left to the imagination as to have been a sadistic expression of "taunting"? In the previous calender year there has been no great outcry for an Alexis Texas IR release from savvy and mature IR fans; only newbies still hold out lingering hope. Whereas Tori Black took to her IR fanbase from her very first year in the game, doing award-worthy scenes with several promenent Afro-American adult actors, Alexis Texas seemingly only wanted to tease and taunt us with a plethora IR cover shots in movies where she neglected to have sex with Black men at all; once even going so far as to prefer a black dildo in a Brian Pumper release while all her fellow white co-stars in that very film took Black dick :-( Edited by - Young Herschel on 1/11/2011 6:51:21 PM [Link] |
