I recently had the pleasure of shooting with a very sexy girl from Pittsburgh for content for my website. The girl I shot with was part of another web group and they had certain content limits that I do not. So when we did the shoot we did a variety of material that included softcore, pin-up and girl/girl that would be acceptable for her site and some hardcore material for mine.
The girl was the bomb and the content was sizzling. So I was quite shocked when she called me very upset and unhappy because her webmaster had told her that NONE of the content she submitted was appropriate for his site and that he wouldn't post any of it. I asked her about what his concerns were, since we had taken pains to do material that would fit into their guidelines.
I was informed that the problem was ME. I was not _____.com material. He told my girl that they maintained higher standards than I did. When I asked what that meant, I was told that I do PORN, and that they have no desire to be associated with anyone who does porn!
I have always had a huge issue with the idea that pin-up and softcore is not porn. Porn is simply material that is used to provide sexual stimulation or excitement to the person experiencing it. I have no issues with boundaries. But..when you take off your clothes, arch your back and have pictures taken and posted or sold of your ass, tits, tummy, tongue or whatever else you ARE providing sexual stimulation to someone. When you sit on a bed, eat every donut in town and have your pictures taken, posted or sold knowing full well you are providing a fetish service you are doing porn. When you sit on balloons, people, bread or twinkies and then thank someone on some website for finding you hot & sexy you are doing porn. Adult materials are legal. But there is a reason that all the various sites require you to be an adult. No one there is selling Barney.
Do not misunderstand..I have no issues with not being______.com material. I do have a HUGE issue with taking crap about how I do porn, and thus don't have any standards. If this was the case, I would not be able to shoot with amateurs and professionals across the U.S. MY standards include assuring that anyone I work with has fun, receives the ultimate respect from me, is assured of working in a physically safe environment and that they know that they will get full credit and full rights to their hard work.
Regardless of whether we lie on a bed with our hair perfectly done wearing beautiful, sexy lingerie, or whether we're hanging from the chandelier covered in sperm..we are all providing adult content to an appreciative audience, for at least the partial purpose of pleasing our creditors. Period.

Sounds to me like the webmaster for _____.com is embarrassed by what he does so he is trying to justify it to himself. I wouldn't take it too hard.

I'm not really taking it hard, I think that what bothers me is that there seems to be a rather interesting notion within the BBW Adult Community that if someone bares their breasts and sucks seductively on a lollipop they are not doing porn. But if that lollipop turns into a dick and you take a pop-shot in the face, then you are doing porn and you are somehow inferior to the one who's only sucking on the lollipop. Crap.

Yeah. I think this is just the result of a guy who doesn't want to admit he sells porn. Softcore is porn. No doubt about it. Everybody knows it. Maybe he just hasn't really come to terms with it yet. I don't know.
The larger issue is that it seems you have to pretend what you're doing isn't porn in order to be "respectable" in this country. Because everybody jacks off to porn when they're alone in their cave but nobody who's "respectable" wants to admit it.

Mindee;
Doesn't the girl have something in writing describing what is or isn't allowed?
It seems to me that unless she has gone beyond what is allowed they would have no right to prevent her using the the material. It that is the case they should at least reimburse her for her expenses.

That little problem is now over. She's becoming part of my group. :-)
