Taryn I absolutely think that is awesome, congrats on your five months. I too was dabbling back in the drug scene when I got in the business, but I now have a year off drugs. I occasionaly do have a beer but that is once every two weeks
Education wise, I graduated in two years honoring Math and Science and plan to take courses on-line just for extra mind stimulation. Elegant also is helping alot with the job skills aspect, putting together the budgets, production management, and stronger people skills when putting together projects and events, but there is still more to learn and I am all eyes and ears.
Being an actress just fulfils a small sex fix I need, otherwise it just a starting point to another career, most likely in this awesome industry, there is no way to tell but I will be prepared.
Just how common is this? Does he do this with everyone he reps? Does anyone else do this? I'm a little surprised by this.
Gen Padova might be the most vocal drug opponent around. Bring the topic up and she will leave nodoubt of her opinion. I don't think she drinks much alcohol, and probably qualifies as "living clean", aside from the occasional piss scene.
She has a biochemistry degree and works for a lab from time to time. She could do that full time; she does porn because she likes it better than being an office drone and not for lack of any other way of paying the rent.
I asked shylock to rep me and he asked for a drug test. I was booked every day but 3 last trip so i didn't call him back but I can pass one for everything except vics now.
I am drug-free myself and its nice to hear from all those actresses that are or went drug free, but generally I think its simply not our business wheter a porn girl does drugs or not. We porn fans should care about her performance, her appearance, not her private life.
i constantly entertain losing the suit and getting a license to work in a walgreen's. i'd even do 90-hour weeks if they'd do something about the bright lighting, customers complaining that you're drooling and improve the background-music
in all seriousness, what are you thinking deciding to straighten-out in a small space filled with thousands and thousands of pills of mscontin, benzos, and clean-tweak for the narcoleptics? walking on coals is probably a better test of your will and you're not going to get in trouble for scamming someone's DEA#.

Eh, I dropped everything (not all at once) just on whims. So I had no problems being at bars or fun parties when I stopped using stuff. That might be me though. It turns out in my youth I didn't chemically addict. But if I could just stop using anything just because, then others probably can too.

For what its worth i read somewhere that Keri Sables a vegan....doesnt mean she doesnt indulge in drugs....but most vegans stay pretty clean (i might be wrong...but i just like to wish the best health for all)
I have never had a criminal record, I don't do drugs, and my parents have been married for over 47 years. I am an only child, and I was never abused. (other than religiously-Catholic school sucked!). I don't have battles with abusive spouses. And, in fact, I don't even drink alcohol except for when I'm in Italy....... then, I can't resist a glass of good Port Wine. But, rarely do I want to waste the calories on alcohol. I also teach kickboxing, and health and nutrition. There are a TON of us that aren't screwed up, however, we rarely have a voice. Oh, yes, and I also have a decent education, and continue my education constantly. I love school, and I love to learn.
I can say I have known newcomer Sunny Lane since the day she was born. The girl is just great, fun and high on life. She has no drug or alcohol problems. As a matter of fact she is a veggie and exercise junkie.

I just found out Tom Sizemore is a drugged up alcoholic lunatic. I'm going to have to go rewatch the movies I've seen him in and see if I still like them.
Well I just watched a few scenes from Saving Private Ryan and find that my opinions of the movie and of Sizemore's performance in the movie are unchanged by my recently acquired awareness that he is a drug-crazy alcoholic lunatic.
This is the reason why I stopped watching T.V. My impression was that some of the performers were working in porn to pay for college fees and/or because they liked sex. There are articles in the papers occaisionally about strippers paying their way through college with it. I probably would have done if I wasn't a fugly bloke.
It means that they aren't well off, but not necessarily deprived or abused. There are just as many people who have scarred pasts in my industry, I know of plenty, but no-one makes documentaries about warehouse people.
I didn't choose the industry I work in because I like it either, it pays the bills and I feel exploited at the end of the day. I don't even get to smell perfume.
