Here is some general advice before I offer my point of view on your question.

1-Asking strangers if what you are feeling about a specific subject is probably not the best thing to do because we aren't you and therefore our opinion should count for nothing.

2-Using the term creepy is probably not the best way to get people offering advice because many will avoid saying they love watching dead performers because you have already implied that you think it's creepy.

Here is how I look at it. I'm old enough to have watched porn that was made 30 years ago and more importantly most of the porn that I really enjoy was made in and around that time so by default I am likely to have a lot more dead performers on my list of favorite than someone who has only been watching porn in the last decade or so. If I were to avoid watching those now dead performers than it would greatly affect the number of movies that I like to watch.

Maybe it's a question of time between when the performer has passed away and when you start to watch her again. I can understand being uncomfortable watching someone who has recently passed away but a year from now will you still avoid anything she did because you automatically think about her death?

Sorry about this.

actually it's interesting because I'm creeped out too, and yet I'm not for pornstars of a distant past

I mean I can't watch August Ames anymore it's too close , she's one of my porn era , it's like someone I know and it really would creep me out to watch her fucking

On the other hand I'd have no problem with those of a past era , say Marylin Chambers , it's like a paint , the author is gone , the subject is gone but his arts stays and would also make the one depicted as immortal as he is.

So I think you pose a very interesting question , about how we feel about them and us.

Well Suited, I don't think you're wrong for feeling creeped out. I've always been a huge fan of Amber Rayne (RIP). I always thought she was pretty, nice, and delightfully nasty as hell. After I heard that she died, I couldn't watch her videos for a while. I felt similarly to the OP. After a while, those feelings subsided and I've gone back to watch, and enjoying, her videos.

I don't think that getting off on a deceased porn star's videos is exploiting his/her death. I don't know of anyone who stopped listening to the Beatles after John Lennon was killed or George Harrison died. If one feels creeped out and depressed by watching a deceased porn star's videos, I can understand that and sympathize with it. The only issue I would have is if that person would expect other people to not watch that star's death. Which the OP definitely did NOT say, so please don't take my statement that way. It's kind of like some extreme forms of porn - some people are grossed out by such porn while other people love it.

Actually, I think the OP brought up a good topic. Which should stay up on the forum. I just hope that everybody keeps it civil.

A similar thread popped up when Haley Paige passed.

And that was more than 10 years ago.

Anyone still creeped out by Haley Paige's scenes?

It has been awhile...

Please don't take this thread down. I didn't find your questions offensive. Just that using the term creep might make some people uncomfortable and they would avoid commenting.

I think time is the one factor that usually affects the way we look at deceased performers. The further we move from their death the less likely we are to think that it's unseemly to watch them. especially as we are trying to get sexually stimulated.
