Excellent question, no really.
I Haven't watched tv in my home since 2004, and I'd guestimate less than 100 hours total in others house when visiting over that time.
I have a 52" flat screen I use as a monitor. I had an antenna hooked up to it for about 5 minutes to verify that the tuner worked, other than that there has never been tv on it.
I stopped watching sports in 2002 because it was becoming reality tv and from the headlines and stories I have seen it is now full on reality tv, which makes for hilarious.
I get your point, but if anything it strengthens my view, Bonds, McGuire, Clemens altered themselves for personal gain at the expense of the industry they were in.
They stole the Sonics, screwing a city, with help from the local government, that pretty much sealed that area off.
So, short answer long, no, I tend to avoid real life/non-fiction entertainment that is at other peoples expense, far too much of that in the world, I don't need it in my fun basket also.
A lot of Porn, imo, is exactly the same. The cookie cutter effect {bleached hair, pneumatic tits, mowed lawn} is still going on, though it seems to be declining a bit.
Yes I understand it is a fantasy, as such that kills my fantasy, more so when Stars you've collected and adore alter themselves, thereby cutting off the rest of their career.
In the end it is much ado about nothing anyone has any control over, though I continue to find it funny that a differing pov is seen as an attack is as bad, more so when you express it.
