1-By critics I assume you mean anyone who has access to the internet because I don't think there is an actual porn industry where sites like AVN or Xbiz could survive by actually reporting about the industry. These days those platforms are primarily used for advertising various upcoming scenes.
2-Everyone has an opinion regardless that they post it on the net or not and that includes trolls who will say the most asinine or repulsive thing.
3-I've often seen people use the term she is too pretty to do... and for the most part I don't think these people say that thinking that only average looking women do porn. I doubt most of them realise the consequence of saying that about a specific women shades all the others. It's just that they can't believe that someone they find so attractive would do porn. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I assume that many of use think that about most performers. It's just that we don't say it.
4-I'm part of the group that thinks the minimum age to do porn should be higher than 18. I just don't think that most 18 years old are capable of grasping all the implication of doing porn at such a young age. Especially in this age where these same teenagers have grown up glued to their smartphones watching people their own age bragging about all the stuff they bought on platforms like Tik Tok and they can't because working in retail or the Fast Food industry doesn't pay enough to even dream of buying those things. You then tell that teenager that she can make 1500-2000$ for maybe 2 hours of work and like it or not some will do it.
