'80s?), Rochester was something of a hub for shooting porn. This seemed interesting, mostly because I always thought of the porn biz as being 99% California-centric, but especially since Rochester is a fairly conservative town. In other words, it's very possible that what your friend is telling you is true; maybe the adult industry filmmakers chose certain Rochester and area locations in order to shoot stuff with a small town flavor.
