john lyons,
Please re-read my posts carefully before you respond to them.
I never said that Traci Lords was a great actress. I said that she was the only one (pornstar) that ever had more than a walk-on/cameo appearance in a mainstream hollywood movie.
If you re-read your own post you can see that that is what I posted.

This is NOT true. Paul Thomas plays Peter in Norman Jewison's Jesus Christ Superstar. Do you not consider that mainstream?
I was more responding to your earlier claim that no actor in X rated movies could ever pull off a character in a non-X film. The OP never stated that said role must be in a Hollywood film.
Granted, the non-X films X actors have been in are mostly independent, but does that make them any less worthy of acknowledgment?

I REPEAT: The question put forth by the OP was: I'm just wondering who you think could actually pull off a story without any fucking in it?
My answer was no one. Paul Thomas at one time may have had some limited ability, and he might have one time been able to sing, on a Broadway/movie level, but I do not think that is the case today.
As part of the Sara Lee family he might have done a lot of things successfully. He just chose porn.
It's like how you get to Carnegie Hall....Practice,practice, practice.

So you're saying that Paul Thomas might have been talented but when he decided to work in X rated movies he magically lost any acting ability he had? That's about as ridiculous as saying that a person trained to play classical music who decides to play in a rock band magically looses their ability to play in an orchestra. As for your second comment, I assume you're implying that Thomas' decision to act in X rated movies was a blight on his life. Well that's a matter of opinion, but like it or not he is a very successful and respected director and actor.
I pose the question to you: have you seen any of the films I mentioned in which X rated film actors do pull off complete stories without any fucking or are you just making ignorant statements based on personal bias?

My last reply because this isn't going anywhere:
Have you actually seen the NON PORN films I listed which have porn actors in starring roles and found their acting to be terrible as a means of supporting your statement that not one of them is a genuinely capable actor, able to pull off a role without having sex?
If you have not seen these, or any other non porn films which star porn actors then, as others have said, you are making statements based on nothing more than personal bias and you are unable to support them.
I'm done.

MOD:
Clam Digger, you are not having a conversation, you are repeating the same phrase ad nauseum, which I consider trolling. If you repeat it once more I will have to lock this thread. If you have nothing to add to the conversation be an adult and don't participate.

A check of IMDB shows
The Boondock Saints with Ron Jeremy who is list #31 after character parts Report #1, Reporter# and Bartender.. Hardly a staring role, affirming my statement about walk-ons and cameos.
Deranged (1987)with Veronica Hart. This is a hot one. She heads a stellar cast of about 12 that include the likes of Jerry Butler and Jamie Gillis. To say that is was a "B" movie would be charitable to say the least. It should be noted that the she is appears in a lot of crap directed by Chuck Vincent, who was fixated on her.[/url]
The Toolbox Murders, Kelly Nichols had a very small part, as you said. Typical walk-on or cameo apperance,as I said. It was directed by Dennis Donnelly, who hasn't worked in the industry since 1991 and most of his directing credits are of sorry ass TV shows in the 70's & 80's.
Additionally we disposed of the Georgina Spelvin myth previously.
If I missed one on your list, my apologizes.
I must say that your taste in movies is somewhat eclectic.

Well you clearly have not seen the movie. Ron has a substantial amount of dialogue and he appears in numerous scenes. Anyone who has actually seen the movie would certainly agree that his role is more than a walk-on/cameo. Just because IMDB arbitrarily listed him low doesn't mean he's not a main part in the movie. Watch the movie. It's a good movie.
Also, Clam Digger, you never answered me. Are YOU an actor? Acting experience?

Funny, since you want to use Wikipedia, Georgina Spelvin's entry there states that she was in The Pajama Game. Just thought that your beloved source states she was in it as well. Not that it matters, your mind was made up before you posted anything.
"As a child, Michelle Graham fell victim to an attack of polio, but she recovered enough of her mobility to become a dancer. She began her professional career as a chorus girl in New York and was featured in the Broadway productions of Guys and Dolls, Sweet Charity, and The Pajama Game."

she was in the chorus hardly a feature.
And the you are off topic as she or anyone else mentioned here could never carry a production that didn't include fucking.
Speaking of trolls, go grab a mirror.
