I picked up a copy of the Sinclair Series "Sex after 40" and it's pretty boring, though the couples are clearly past 40 and not 30-somethings tarted up to look older. Are there any hot couple-friendly DVDs or tapes of older men or women? I'm not looking for the "fucking grannies" exploitation stuff, but there's a large and growing audience of older boomers out there who aren't 20 or 30 anymore.
My own fantasies at this stage are pretty pedestrian, having lived some of them many years ago. I like older women, and I know my partner is not interested in 18-30 year olds. Whether we constitute a market is hard to say. I prefer natural breasts, kissing and believable sex between real people, not screaming fake orgasms and acrobatic positions, so I'm not your average customer.
We have been working very hard to try and produce a scene featuring a couple in the 35-45 y.o. range. In fact, most of the test shooting we do is with couple in that range, and I can tell you that seeing a couple that's been fucking each other for a decade or two (and still likes it) go at it is seriously hot. Working with these people we've never had a wood problem, or had a woman who didn't achieve orgasm.
But it's one thing to find a couple of that age who want to work with us for a private study. It's quite another to find a couple of that age who want to be in a publicly released porn film. We've had a couple of near misses, but ultimately they've all thought that maybe the fall out would be too much, even if they were truly excited about letting us "inside" their relationship.

There's a market for everything, and it would be a nice change of pace considering of course the couples would be beautiful. The "naughty grannies" trend of the late 80's died because they were going for shock factor instead of sexiness. Weren't it Video Exclusives who produced those? That was stupid as well as demeaning for the real MILF audience. There are a lot of seducing 40-somethings out there, male & female.
40 something is one thing, but the film is always some 20 something version of an adult movie. you have a young guy and an older woman or a guy similiar in age, but it is still just get naked and fuck. where exactly the maturity there. I mean the films that you saw the likes of Kay Parker in when she was the MILF were well produced and acted a hell of a lot better then most films today. she would be dressed like a mother or in clothes that didn't flash *SCANDALOUS HOOKER* when you looked at them. her bra and panties were cotton and not thong or lingerie that you'd where when you know you're going to have sex. it was so much different from what is deemed "mature porn" these days.

Seriously, it seems strange with so many porn stars that are now in that age range that you can't find a couple who are in a committed relationship and willing to perform for something of quality.
I appreciate that the market is driven by male buyers who want fantasy, and that the MILF factor is just another male fantasy that someone has had the good sense to exploit. But there's clearly a market for material aimed at more mature tastes. It may be a small niche, but the Sinclair people have found it, as well as some of the tapes and DVDs intended for couples. And as far as the couples having to be "hot looking," I think it's more important that the sex be hot. The big turn-off with the Sinclair films isn't the looks of the participants, but the lack of sound and the obvious lack of orgasms. I assume that's because it's probably difficult for the women in the filming to totally relax (the only orgasm I detected in the one DVD I've watched was with an Hitachi Wand and they turned off the sound).
Working with pornstars/ex-pornstars carries baggage that I'm not really interest in addressing. As I said in a recent interview, when you work with people from the bizz, "the industry" is the elephant in the living room: to ignore it is to be a fool, acknowledge it and everything becomes framed by "the industry".
Also, many (most?) women go into dancing and that seems to require rediculously sized breast implants. It's another case of a no-win: if you don't explain why she has oversized and unnaturally shaped breast you're stoopid; if you do, you open up a can of worms.
I can say that there is a lot of extremely hot sex going on outside of Chatsworth California. I'd guess that most of it does not involve people in their late teens/early twenties. I've seen a little of it, and there's no shortage of DPs, DVPs, slapping, choking, as well as a generous portion of kissing, cooing and gentle petting.
Obviously there is a place for the vision of sexuality put out by "the industry". It is a pity that that vision is virtually the only representation of sex on film/video available.
i think the '35-45 y.o. range' is really a niche market, i would whish the 25-35 female range wasn't.i hear you and i'm pretty sure sooner or later someone will jump in and the others will just copy sucessful concepts.
Truth be told, when I was in the 25-35 year old range myself, those were the women/couples I was most interested in shooting. Now that I'm a little older (38) I've found I'm more drawn to 35-45 year olds. I suppose that has something to do with feeling there are certain commonalities that comes with making a given number of trips around the sun.
For pure physcial beauty, I think a 26,27 is where I'd put my mark. A woman of that age can still have a body that is near perfection, but she will have a carraige and gravitos that a 19 y.o. can never touch – except for maybe a young Cindy Crawford!
