"Porn for women" (in the most stereotypical since of the phrase) can be found in any porn store/Internet outlet with a "couples" section. This may or may not appeal to your particular women. Ask her what she likes and go from there.

Before buying anything I'd definately ask her what "porn for women" means to her then go from there.

I agree with sweetbbw.
In addition to what she might like personally, you didn't indicate whether this was porn just for her, or for the two of you to share together.
Porn just for her might be solo male scenes...

Ultimately, what she likes will be individual- Lord knows there's tons of "porn for women" out there that either bores me to death, is cheesy as hell, or simply leaves me cold. Women aren't a monolithic group that get turned on by the same thing, so your best bet is to get a couple dozen of possible choices and have her read about them/watch previews and pick one that appeals most to her (or throw them all out and tell you where you went wrong so the two of you can find something better).
Some names to Google: Innocent Pictures, Blue Artichoke Films, Petra Joy, Erika Lust and Lust Films, Libido Films, the (in)famous Playgirl movies, Comstock Films, InPulse Features, and most feature movies that try to incorporate a bit of a plot.
Personally, I couldn't not recommend "Five Hot Stories For Her" . . . it's my favorite made for women, by women flicks, ever:

I can attest to the fact that this is like an enigma. I have made several attempts @ introducing porn to the wife. I have tried introducing it when she's all worked up and she talks a good game about it. She ends up hating it. B/G - Boy solo- G/G Girl Solo, None of it mattered.
I have tried all kinds of ways and I still cant. I basically gave up. I figured that she is a nurse and works w/ alot of women, so she sees some nasty shit. Its more about the feeling of sex then the visuals. Anyway I bring nothing to this thread but more frustration. Sorry.

How refreshing to read these replies - couldn't agree more. Women are as diverse as men, so it's down to the individual. In fact, why can't your wife go and find porn for herself? Why is it your responsibility?

"Porn for women?" Pardon me but that in itself seems to smack of sexism. I enjoy porn but not all types, as my previous posts here will attest. To assume that women like a specific or modified type of porn is to once again, assume to make choices on our behalf. Let me ask the men...how did you find out what you liked or didn't? You WATCHED it right? From that you formulated your tastes. Well excuse me for being so presumptuous but women are probably fully capable of doing the same.

Couldn't have said it better myself. People talk about women and sexuality as though there were one specific type of sex/desire for women. And no, that doesn't mean women simply want "what men want" - which in itself trivializes male sexuality. I would love to see a woman on here post a thread saying her husband wants her to find "porn for men," asking for suggestions. What would be the reaction to that, I wonder? I'm not putting down production companies like Femme, or Playgirl - I think they rock, and I'm glad they exist - but they exist for men, also, in spite of what people might assume. Sexuality is far too complex and diverse to categorize according to gender.
And, to reemphasize what I said before, there seems to be an attitude that women need men to find porn *for* them - to "break them in" as I hear so many people say. As you rightly point out, Queen Janine, women can find out what turns them on by searching things out for themselves.

I tend to like really hard core material, and many women do not. These ladies are exactly right. Find out what it is she likes first. She may like the softer "couples" porn, and then again, she might like something really hard & heavy, or a little of both. Ask..and listen. I have always said that the sexiest part of any man is a WORKING pair of ears! Good luck.

I don't look at it as "my responsibility" to find porn for her. I was trying to include her in something that I enjoy. And to let her know that Porn is not something that I like because "of" her. IE- she doesn't give me what I want so I turn to porn instead. That is not the case at all. She has known me since I was 13 years old and she is aware porn was there all along. We ended up agreeing to disagree and that what ever I "learned" from porn would be put to use with us and guess what, we have only gotten better. She has opened up so much in the last few years. A vasectomy didn't hurt either.
I did discover that she really likes Erotic stories and letters. She really likes Penthouse Letters and other things like that. They don't do much for me but there you have her preference.
But the end result was that I tried to introduce porn many times. For us It didn't work. And the alternative was AWESOME. Those young guys who cant get there GF's to watch porn w/them- there is life w/o porn in a relationship.

On another note, just wondering what proportion of women watch porn? It has enormous implications for the porn business. I read a few surveys a while ago with figures ranging from 5% to 20%. It is difficult to imagine that 20% though. Probably 2%?

I see - now I understand. Well, good for you. It sounds like she isn't stopping you from watching porn, and that you have a healthy relationship with lots of communication - good for you. I love reading the Penthouse Letters, simply because they're so much fun and so diverse. Sounds like a good compromise for you both. And yes, relationships can do just fine without porn (shock horror!).
All the best to the both of you.

Stats from a few years ago confirmed that 40-50% of porn is rented/viewed by women (see Williams 1989; Strossen 1995; Kipnis 1996). But there is differing information - there are so may factors to consider. Who rents it v. who watches it (e.g. men may go and rent it, and then their wives/girlfriends watch it, or vice versa). It's such a private experience, it's hard to find realistic or accurate information. Then there are things like stealing parents' porn, which I'm sure don't get taken into account. I guess you would have to define what "watching" or "consuming" porn even means.
Then you have to take into account dvd v. internet; film v. magazine; porn you pay for v. porn that's free etc etc. Then, of course, there are issues of sexual preference. It's pretty difficult to put a number on any of it.
