This is not so much a question as it is an observation and maybe a start to a fun dialogue. Having lived in SW Ohio for a number of years, I was always impressed with how many porn starlets came from that area --- Amee Donavan, Sarah Jay, Taylor Hill, Brandy Talore, Felicia Fox to name a few. (And though my favorite actress, Brianna Blaze, is not from SW Ohio, she is an Ohioan [Canton/Akron area].)
Lately, it seems like I've been hearing about a few of the up-and-coming starlets with roots in rural Wisconsin. Are they pumping something into the cheese up there?
I also see a lot of girls with ties to Arizona and ASU.
Realizing that porn actresses come from all over the country, there seem to be regions that are particularly "rich" when it comes to these ladies. I'm curious as to what other porn startlet "hotbeds" are, aside from the obvious... Southern California.
I have filmed a LOT of girls from Ohio over the years. Kelly Kline is one name star who I brought into the business originally for her first movie, that grew up in Ohio. But there are many, many lesser known stars and one shot wonders from Ohio that I have filmed here on the east coast.
80s star Angel Kelly, and myself both came from Michigan. I'm not sure if Sierra grew up in Michigan, but I know she's moved back there to be near her father after a family illness... so I assumed she was from the area.
More girls from the Deep South are needed, and that wonderful way they elongate their 'o' sounds. I've always wondered if these girls gape in an elliptical fashion, as opposed to a good old fashioned circular gape.
Charlie Laine is from Wisconsin. There are at least one or two other girls that I've encountered recently that are from WI, but I can't recall who they are at this moment. I'll think about it today and see if I can remember.
I agree that Ohio is pumping them out at a very high rate (Brianna Blaze is probably still my all-time favorite). Seems like it's the Mesopotamia of porn breeding grounds!
New Jersey (my home state) produced Tiffany Rayne and Aubrey Addams - now that's at least quality if not quantity!

Sometimes there are little clusters of girls who come in from a state or city, for example, in the 90s, a bunch of girls from Colorado came in -- Shayla LeVeaux and Kylie Ireland were the ones I remember. There are always Texans and recently more Arizonans. Almost never any girls from the Northeast (I'm blanking on the name of the skinny anal queen from the 80s with the hilarious Boston accent -- "deepah, hardah!" -- it was like listening to Ted Kennedy get ass-fucked.) Keri Sable is I think from Connecticut. And while there have always been a lot of Floridians, very few from deep South or border states, although they're starting to appear. (Ginger Lee, for example.)
I've always wondered about the geographic imbalance. Sometimes I think there are clusters where there are a lot of strip clubs and certain strip clubs get feature dancers from porn, who are in effect recruiters, but I don't know anything about strip clubs. I never go near them -- it's my one virtue.

Keli Richards is the Bostonian whose name you were blanking on. Keri Sable is from Buffalo. You could include Juli Ashton in the mid 1990s Colorado porn rush also.

Most of the Canadian porn talent seems to be generated from la belle province even a few years ago, when the bulk of the cast in old Anabolic/Diabolic raincoater porn was from Quebec - Lanny Barby, Judy Star, Kimberly Franklin, Shelby Belle to name a few.
Ontario has contributed it's share of starlets as well though - Alexandria Quinn, Lauren Phoenix, Christie Lee and Nikki Benz for example. Shyla is from BC iirc.

I wish more ladies had distinguishing accents vis-a-vis where they're from, instead of the omni-present valley affect…
I think that a lot of porn stars come from southern Ohio because of the repressed uptight attitudes of the people there. Everybody knows that southern Ohio is the censorship capital of the US - that area makes Nashville TN look liberal.
