I have a question for anyone who might be more familiar with porn movies than me. I saw a music video on Spanish MTV the other day, that had quite a lot of nudity, along with S/M themes in it, far more explicit than any other music video I've ever seen. This one, from the Latin group Moenia, showed women topless except for some body paint, some mild whipping, handcuffs, a woman fondling herself as a man watches, and even a goat, though no one fondles it from what I could tell.

The thing about the video is how erotic and stylish it is. I was wondering if any fans know of porn movies that are done like the video; i.e., stylish, not something just crass and degrading. For anyone who's in the porn industry, have you ever known anyone who's done something like this, or thought of doing it yourself?

i've always thought that a really cool porn genre would be to make porn to music...

i stumbled onto the idea one night when i was watching Red Light District's Gang Bang 2 - Ashley Long was just getting pummeled by a lineup of guys - and in the background was my System of a Down CD...

mind you, this was when I liked to get stoned so that kinda enhanced it...

but i do think music is underutilized (is that a word?) in porn...

and the music that they DO use is generic garbage...

Andrew Blake has a lot of erotic stuff, although he has very little hardcore. Mostly softcore and lesbian. Fortunately, he uses Aria Giovanni and Adriana Sage.

Renee, have you ever viewed anything by Tanya Hyde? I think a title like Hell, Whores and High Heels might fit into what you're looking for. Very stylish with S&M themes.

I meant to add that I saw this video at 7:30 morning. Let's hope no one complains to the FCC about indecency on the air at that early hour.

Also, what works to the advantage of the video is the song, which has a hypnotic quality to it, along with the sexy baritone of the lead singer (I don't know what his name is).

i dont care what anyone says - Blake's film Adriana is great! the opening tease with blows my mind every time i watch it...

music is good too!

Um, yeah, I've been doing it for about six or seven years now, off and on, starting with ASIANATRIX: SUFFERING ETERNAL (softcore fetish, '98) and all the way up to K-POP. I am a former musician -- my old band False Virgins put out two albums in 91-92, the first one produced by Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth -- and after running out of old tracks to use last year began composing again. Nowadays, thanks to the miracle of Soundtrack, it's very easy and fun for me to not just throw music on my soundtrack but actually compose it to go along with the final edit.

You might want to check out the Extreme version of ASIANATRIX (2000), ASIA NOIR 2 & 3, and both volumes of ZEN & THE ART OF FELLATIO (though the latter series is rather an ... acquired taste.)

You may want to check out Tanya Hyde's
Xtreme Desires distributed by private.

it's very stylish with lots of sexy latex outfits and such
not exactly S/M though, but many kinky sexgames to watch
features a well produced soundtrack, from ambient layers to pumping
electronic beats and groovy basslines.
with slomos, fast-paced cuts and bizarre lighting
the aesthetics of this flick remind me much of a mtv musicvideo.

ah, speaking about videoclips there is a real gem i have to recommend
check out the musicvideo "Bitte Bitte" from the german punk
rock band "Die Ärzte" starring Teresa Orlowski in the leadrole
as Dominatrix. it was released 1988. its a must have.
i am not sure though if MTV America ever aired it (in europe they do from time to time)


the song and the video is one helluva fun, one of my alltime favs from them
