Honestly (and believe me when I tell you that I've been in your shoes a few times with this), when it gets to the point to where you can't find anything that excites you anymore, you should think about taking a break from porn for a while. The time varies but you said the key words....nastier, fresh new. Take a break for a while. Get out and do something. Do something around the house you've been putting off. Get your mind off porn for a while. This is what I do when I hit that point where nothing is exciting. And porn usually seems fresh again when I come back. You're probably just burning yourself out.
More creativity would help, and a bit more imagination. But most directors/producers stick with a working formula, or copy what someone else is doing that works. I guess not much money can be made by taking a new direction. The new risk may not pay off in the end.
The stuff I want can't be produced in the US for DVD market. I love nasty sex, fisting, pissing, sloppy sweaty fun. But so much "regular porn" looks the same, just replace actress A with actress B. Replace hired dick A with hired dick C and you have the same ol same ol.
If you want really nasty porn movies, watch the japanese rape or scat movies, if they are legal in your area.
There is extreme repetition in porn, you cant invent the wheel everyday, if you are looking at the extreme output especially US porn has. And the law is limiting many, many things that you can watch in european or japanese porn.
I wouldnt say, that the 2 years brought more repetition than the years before.
Especially Wicked and to a lesser extent Vivid and Digital Playground had some movies that tried to reach a broader audience.
Another suggestion would be to change the way you watch. It sounds crazy, I know but you'd be surprised how much better everything can be when you stop wanting more extreme and just sit back, relax and enjoy.
I went for years wanting more and more extreme. I still like some of the nasty, edgy stuff but I've learned that nothing kills the libido like anxiety. When you're constantly waiting and watching for something more....whether it be more extreme, nastier, different, whatever, you can't enjoy anything at all. Even when you see what you wanted to see, it won't be satisfying because you'll immediately start longing for something more.
Just relax and watch. If nasty happens (and it will from time to time without your even going out of your way to find it), great. It'll be that much better when it's spontaneous. Remember why you got into porn. Naked women (most likely). I know that was my motivator. I didn't get into porn to see people fucking upside down or puking on each other or whatever. Sometimes, I really get into the nasty stuff but it's spicier if I don't watch it every day. Variety. Just because I've been eating for years doesn't mean I can't or shouldn't enjoy the simplicity of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich from time to time.
Since I hate nasty porn, I disagree. It seems to me it keeps getting nastier, and I find less and less that I like each year. My guess is that by the end of the decade, I won't find a single new title that'll interest me at all.

I think that porn is plenty nasty nowadays, basically it's all a matter of perception which I guess you don't find in todays porn on a consistent basis. I agree about the creatvity aspect as for me I'm seeing to much fishnets, latex and I still don't get the appeal of heels being kept on during the entire scene. If I had the ability or more accuratley the finances I'd do some things differently which may or may not sell huge but I'd love to make at least one porn dvd with a good solid cast the way I'd like to see one done and then see who likes it and who doesn't, sorry for that little tangent at the end, hehe.

a bit more creativity would be nice. I mean, the chicks cannot get hotter anymore since Luci Thai, Jade Marcela, Chiquita Lopez, Keri Sable and Teagan Presley (and others) quit doing gonzo. It has the highest rate of female renters here in NL ( from the US movies ), and even in Germany, a magazine for women praised some of their movies. Which was very surprising to me, because these magazine always condemned porn movies in toto.

I think the industry has hit a glass ceiling with regard to nastiness. There's really no place to go but scat, and that's something most of us won't buy. I think Japanese porn is pretty good about keeping it fresh. Maybe the American makers can pick up a few things.
We live in an interesting time. There is soooo much porn out there now, for better or worse. So many lines and "studios". I think the problem at this point is saturation. Everybody seems to be chasing some of the same things. But this is capitalism at it's finest. The market will weed out the weak lines, and the cycle will continue.
Yes, there will always be Girls and Guys but my fear is that the new girls who don't want to do an all 12" plus gangbang anal-creampie scene wont be able to get a start. All the $$$ will go to those who will do the EXTREME, and raise the bar so high that the marginal talent will keep there waitresses job and maybe strip.

I don't know if I am right or not, but I think that the reason porn does seem to be getting nastier is that in the last several years the male talent has been working much more frequently than in the past. Consequently, they get more and more jaded, and need sex to be harder for them to get off.
