i was thinking of getting an ipad but can you watch porn on it like you can a laptop? i mean from porn site clips that on the web? i know it has trouble with some videos watching on the ipad doesnt it? any feedback would be great before i buy one Topic Moved by - killbillvol69 on Dec 26 2011
Yes, you can. You need to make sure that the movie clip is in a file format that is readable by iTunes (MPEG-4 is probably the most popular). Drop the file into iTunes and sync.
You can get VLC for the Ipad and it will let you watch videos of many different file formats, but I've found that even it has trouble reading some '.avi' files (mp4 and mpeg files are fine). But if you convert them to .mp4 format, you'll be fine.
Safari is the default browser and it doesn't support FLV but there are other ways to watch FLV on iPad. I know some porn sites offer mp4 and wmv files. If you're downloading from tube sites, many of them use FLV. Best to look at the sources you commonly use and see what format they offer.
I think there is only one reason people use the portable devices is that they are trying to keep away from prying eyes, other than that they are loosing benifit in screen size.
^ maybe, but I find the portability important. I've used my iPod to show prospective talent the kind of adult videos I produce. They get to see a sample of my work without me having to send them a big video file. I've shown airline passengers samples when they ask what I do, and I even shared a scene with my MD the other day.

I use an app called Air Video. You can stream videos from your computer's hard drive. If it's a video format that the iPad doesn't support, then you can have it converted on the go as you're streaming. It's pretty efficient at doing that too. Edited by - digital lust on 3/2/2012 2:54:49 PM
