You know, I never really used to think this mattered until Vivid opened my eyes to this. Case in point: The free movie scenes they include with Kira Kener on the "Ancient Secrets of the Kama Sutra" DVD.

The scene they show from "Nurses" is pretty hot to begin, with, with Kira riding one guy on an operating table while busy sucking off the other dude. But Vivid made the scene even hotter by doing the music track with some kind of creepy suspenseful music and every now and then the sound of the hospital PA system (it really is hot with the pseudo 'Clockwork Orange'ish theme of what is happening, and the moans & slosh-slosh of Kira getting busy). I thought it was so hot I went and got the DVD based on what I saw in this scene alone!

And then what happens? I forward the actual movie to the same scene, AND...we're back to that good-old-faggy-synthesizer-generic-porn music, a la Vangelis' "Midnight Express"!! Did it matter?? HELL, YES IT DID!!

Now maybe this really doesn't matter to producers of films like "Butt-banged Brunettes Vol. 18", but for those of you actually trying to make something GOOD....damn it....don't think music doesn't add much! Need proof? What is it that you hear when you see Christopher Reeve walking out of a revolving door trying to quickly make his way to a telephone booth? Now try imagining that same scene happening with the Archie Bunker theme song instead! That's pretty much how Vivid would have done it!
