Steve Stivers has resigned after a former porn actress posted an explicit photo of the aide online. Adam Kuhn, a longtime Stivers aide, resigned on Tuesday. Kuhn is single, while the actress is married.  “Congressman Stivers accepted Adam Kuhn’s resignation today,” said Courtney Whetstone, a Stivers spokeswoman. “The office is not commenting on his personal life.” In his own statement to POLITICO on Tuesday, Kuhn offered an apology for his actions. “Over the weekend, I was the victim of an attack on Twitter from a woman I had a relationship with in my personal life,” Kuhn said. “I realize and apologize I had used poor judgement in my personal life regarding this relationship. The woman who posted this has reached out to me to apologize.” Kuhn was a key player in Stivers’ campaigns for several election cycles, including serving as campaign manager in 2010, according to media reports. He became Stivers’ deputy chief of staff in January 2011 and was promoted to chief of staff two years later, House payroll disbursement records show, with an annual salary of $130,000. His trouble began last week when Jennifer Roubenes Allbaugh, who uses the name “Ruby” — among other stage names — in adult films tweeted at least one photo of Kuhn’s penis to Stivers’ Twitter account. Allbaugh confirmed to POLITICO that she sent the tweet. According to Allbaugh, she was upset Kuhn had ended the relationship. It is unclear when that occurred or when the photos of Kuhn were taken, although Allbaugh blamed Kuhn for their breakup. Allbaugh later deleted the photo after Kuhn obtained a cease-and-desist order against her, Allbaugh said. Allbaugh was upset with Kuhn and was, in her own words, out for “revenge.” “I hate you, AJK, you selfish pompous a—hole,” Allbaugh tweeted on June 21. Kuhn’s full name is Adam Joshua Kuhn. Furthermore many bigots are activists each of them is worth more than just his vote and may affect a politician more than just minus one vote. Here in Canada, one of our party leaders said Fuck at some private function and the governing party went on a smear campaign. That stuff works, but if you are a normal human who has done a few things in life, why deal with the hassle? I think when voters complain about government, I say "we get what we deserve"; because people who would do a great job would never, ever put themselves through that shit. [Link] |
