Like a few others, I think Penny Pax is a pretty good actress by porn standards. She did a scene for Kink (I think) where she gets gang-raped by a load of Mexican police officers (not a terribly PC scene, it has to be said, but Donald Trump would probably believe it to be a documentary) and was very believable as a rape victim.
^ Penny is a great porn performer. She does a great job of getting this fan excited both during teases and while having sex. She also does a very good job of reading lines during the non-sexual parts of her scenes.I remember watching a golden-age porno in which they devoted three or four minutes to Paul Thomas singing and playing the piano. At the time, I didn't know that he had significant success on Broadway, so I was stunned by how well he sang. Going back to the golden age, I would also mention Veronica Hart.

I would add that camera work and production (and obviously scripting) goes a long way towards making acting convincing. If you look back on daytime soap operas-a common layman's opinion was that the acting was bad. But it wasn't. Those were some amazingly talented actors. Similarly, you can't judge a musician's range or skill by hearing their session work in some narrow context.

Cowboys & Engines is a steampunk western short that stars Richard Hatch (Battlestar: Galactica), Walter Koenig (Star Trek), Libby Letlow (Masked Rider), newcomer Penny Pax (under her real name) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange).
Kristen Scott has impressed me with her actual acting, not just her porn acting (her porn acting is awesome by the way). You can see it especially in her roles in Adult Time features. for example the feature "Teenage Lesbian"
That story and role required her to show a variety of emotions. Not just horniness, but anger, despair, anxiety, infatuation, and more.
Kristen is completely believable as a frustrated high school girl who is unsure and even afraid of her sexuality.
That is quite a feat considering this is the same young woman who has done wild creampie gangbang and bukkake scenes!
It makes sense that Kristen Scott is a good actor because in interviews she said she was a theater kid growing up. She was in acting clubs in her real high school life.
Is she good enough for mainstream acting? Of course, but that will never happen. Her very extensive career as a pornstar makes it impossible.
