First of all, I don't have any clue what the "polls"-section is for (you can't vote for anything there, can you?). Therefore I don't know why my recent topic has been moved and if this one belongs to the "polls"-section as well.

Now without further ado to the topic:

I always wonder how porn stars can have relationships or even marriages with persons beyond the industry.

The question is two-fold:

1. to the insiders, male and female porn stars or know other stars who actually have a relationship of this kind.

How does that work out? Keyword: Jealousy.

I heard that Gauge initially shot scenes with her boyfriend only. After seeing her suck multiple dicks at once, I think it's safe to say that she has changed her opinion.
Does she still have the same boyfriend or did they split maybe due to her changed porn policy?
---------------------

2. to the non-porn industry members of this forum.

Could you imagine to be in a relationship with a porn star?

Wouldn't it kill you to see your sweetheart with others?
If yes, reason to leave her/him?

If no, what if she would make a movie with the likes of Max Hardcore?
Imagine this old weirdo slapping her, ramming his dick in her throat until she pukes.
Wouldn't you kill the guy?

Ok, let's read your thoughts!

Guess the other thread was moved to the "Polls"-section because the crew of Moderators and Administrators are always trying to keep things easy to survey.
And of course you van vote for everything at the "Polls"-section; in your very example the vote is (to reduce it) between boring Vivid and hot GGG girls. Hence it (your other thread) belongs to the "Polls"-section.

Personlly, I couldn't do it. I'm way too jealous and that leads to insecurity. Or is it my insecurity that leads to my jealousy? Whatever the reason, I could never date an adult performer. Nor could I date a mainstream actress if she was involved in a lot of romantic roles. That's just me.

Hmmmmmmm, this question (or a similar one) just recently came up, as you may can read here.

In general - and here I do just speak for myself - I personally could imagine to have a relationship with a porno actress. It´s no big thing to me, that this would mean (at least in case the lady is still active) that other men would have sex with her.

That´s why? Well, I am a masochist. Nahh, just kidding. The reason why is even more simple. If a porno actress would catch my interest in real life, it wouldn´t be because she has been in the movies. Since I am not a dreamer (or - to tell the truth - at least not a 24/7 dreamer), a girl only can catch my interest, if she is interesting, shares the same hobbies (at least some of them), likes the things I do and makes me like the things she does, is interested in the normal aspects/things life has to offer and has enough brains to know the difference between reality and porno.

Thus given, plus knowing that the front-line-work (in front of the camera) is generally far away from being as pleasant as sex with your normal life partner ever can be, why should there be a problem?

Great topic!

My answer would be no. I couldn't have a girlfriend that was making porn movies. I'm vanilla when it comes to "swinging" though I'm still working on my damned g/g/b threesome. Quite frankly, I would be worried about the whole STD situation as well.

HOWEVER....

If I had the opportunity to date an established porn girl, as opposed to a girlfriend getting into porn, I would have to consider exploring that possibility. Let's say if I moved out to California, met Serena South or Christie Lee at a bar, we hit it off, etc, it may be something to definitely explore. I mean, how could you not, right?

I leave that answer for X-RAY, who always has a nice approach on Mr. Steiner.

Whispering: "X-RAY, where are you?".....

As a porn performer I have one thing to say (well, no, I'm sure I have many things to say, but I'll start with one). You are assuming that sex means something special to everyone, since it appears to mean something special to you. To you it's something to get upset over, something someone you're in a relationship with shouldn't share with someone else.
Well, big wake up call here, sex doesn't mean anything more than what you want it to. Lots of people don't think it means anything at all, except maybe a nice way to rub your bits.
People with that belief are the ones who become happy porn performers, and the ones who have happy relationships with them.

You are right, I cannot divide love and sex. Only my opinion though. I have no problem with people who think elsewise.

That's why I asked the people who don't have a problem with their partner (in this case girlfriend) fucking other people, but if they have a limit.

I cannot by any means imagine that any guy in the world would let his girlfriend be humiliated by Max Hardcore and co.

Kimi is right. Sex and Love are two very different things. Of, course you should be secure in your relationship and realize that those two things are different before you go out and do porn, swing, or anything like that. I know guys that can't even handle their girl stripping. I say thats just too controling. Everyone is different. Having sex with other people while being in a relationship isn't for everyone. But for some of us it works.

You know what? I know a lot of guys who would have a problem if their girlfriend would strip.
Let me rephrase: I KNOW NO GUY WHO WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT!

As you said, everyone is different. Exactly. Then why is it too controlling?
I don't want any guy to see my wife naked. Is that controlling???
In what world do you live in?

You are free to choose the kind of partner you like as well as I am free to choose the kind of partner I like.

----------------------------

Maybe I'm getting this all wrong, but I have the feeling that you and Kimi feel offended by my topic. If so, I just would like to have some opinions here. If not, forget this passage.

I agree that sex only has the meaning you attach to it, which is diferent for everyone. With that said, I would not like to SEE my girlfriend having sex with another man. I don't think i'm jealous, that's just my preference. I don't however, equate love and sex. Strippinig I feel the same, it would be her desicion if see wants to, but I would definitely prefer not to see my girlfriend giving some guy a lap dance. So as a non porn performer to answer your question ...

Could you imagine to be in a relationship with a porn star?
yes, If she does only girl/girl or does males and is fine with me not wanting to see her movies.

Seattle, maybe I should better leave this to Kimi and Pason, but IMHO you treat your wife as if she was your possession.

As for me, I´m not looking for a girlfriend right now. I do buy the sex I need on the free (escort) market or do get it for free. I really do like that freedom at the moment, thus it is difficult for me to answer this kind of question. Howeve, I do hope, once in a relationship again, I would be cool enough to let my girlfriend work with whomever she wants - and be it Max Hardcore.

As for Gauge, she long ago left that boyfriend who also pimped her and still was jaleous! So sick boys can behave. Such double-standard drives me crazy.

I am not offended by your topic. I am disturbed, as usual, as I have been for quite a long time now, that it somehow remains a mystery to so many people that not everyone thinks the same thing about sex.
The simple answer to your question - "how does that work out <jealousy>?" is that some people aren't jealous about sex.

I notice it's a lot of the men objecting to their woman being an actor. I'd be interested in knowing the opinions of the women havning their partner being a performer.

As for myself, I think that ideologically, the differences between us would be too great for me to be in a relationship with an actor. I'd have to get past that before jealously even becomes an issue.

OK boys and girls, let me throw my two cents in here.

Seattle,
I think maybe your perspective is a little bit biased about things. The relationship that you share with your wife/G.F. might be a good one for the both of you. I would expect that both of you have set boundary rules for the relationship and are happy with the possessive rules that you both maintain.

However...

I know that there are alot of different types of relationships, some with more open standards that couples relate to. Seattle... this is where you blur the line it seems.

You take your rules and apply them to other peoples' relationships. Some couples just have different points where they draw the imaginary cheating line.

Next...

In Porn,(I would guess) there are different rules when you date someone who is an actress or actor. You have to understand that while you do love them, and they might love you, that they still need to do a job. If they where in Porn when you met them, then don't go changing things and getting all possessive on them.

Personally, I could not marry or have a serious relationship with an Pornstar for just such jealous reasons. But it would be fun to date one for awhile and find out!!

I would be open to an open relationship(no pun intended), just as swingers share their partners, or pornstars have sex with other people. It's not for everyone. Everyone is different. To answer your question, yes, I would date a porn star, I'm open minded, and I'd have to be with an open minded female.

Here's a thought.

The guy in the relationship isn't a performer. The girl is. Is it ok for the guy to have sex with other girls?

It's not much of a thought! Obviously it would depend on the people involved.

It's not a whole lot easier to generalise about pornstars than it is to generalise about everyone else.

I watched Sports Night on dvd a while ago and surprisingly the dating a porn star issue got quite a bit of discussion at one point. They did a pretty good job of it by TV standards. Sports Night was written by the guy who went on to do West Wing.

From my experience it’s more than hard to have a relationship while you are in this industry. It’s hard to keep a relationship and it’s hard to get into a new one…
You get into troubles, either way…

I had this very long relationship to that guy. He was always very supportive when it came to my business and he even changed his whole life completely just so I can go on with my career. I think, the thing that finally caused all the troubles was that all that porn stuff got way to much into my private life. Porn was a topic 24/7. I just got sick of it. I couldn’t just go home and relax, maybe having some good sex. No, even in bed it was like…let’s try this, let’s do that. Let’s invite some chicks, let’s see if you are a good gaper, let’s try some new stuff. Hell, no, I just want sex! Real sex, no weird positions, no toys, no group things!
So, the thing is, when your boy get’s too much involved into the business, he wants to share and be more part of it. And honestly, sad but true, that didn’t work out for me…
That’s why I also could never be with a talent, director or who ever…

Talking about jealousy I have no experience with that. All the guys, I have been with, were totally into it, when I was talking about the scenes I just did. It was a huge turn on for them. But the thing with jealousy is a huge problem. I see more and more girls which quit porn just because of their new boyfriends. And some of them are really hot girls which could make tons of money in that business, at least for some years. All of the sudden there is that guy and girls are going crazy. Basically, that’s absolutely okay. But I just don’t understand why girls can be so controlled by a guy. If he’s acting like a pimp and wants her to be the biggest porn star or if it’s the other way around, that he keeps you from doing your business. Either way, I just don’t get it why girls always get that influenced by guys…

So, sometimes, when I am dating guys, I am never sure, if I should tell them what I do for a living. Just because I think it might influence their thoughts about me. Actually it always does. Guys are going crazy when they know you are a porn star. So some of them just want to be with you because of what you represent. So, as a porn actress it’s more than easy to find a fuck buddy, but a relationship that lasts? I don’t know…

For me the perfect thing right now is having a guy, who totally respects what I do and who doesn’t want to change anything about it. A guy, who cares about his own business and just shares his life with me including all the good stuff a relationship is about. I need my independence, have to feel like I can go out and do whatever I feel like. I want to have sex with who ever I want and so can he. Just a nice open relationship. Freedom for everybody. I guess I will change my mind about that one day, having a feeling for settling down, just being with that one perfect guy. But since then I want freedom, in private and also when it comes to business…

This is my opinion regarding that topic and I am sure it differs from other porn chicks’ opinions which is cool. Everybody should be able to live the life he wants and realize their dreams!

Now that's a statement. How can you possibly come to this verdict by what I wrote so far?

I have ground rules for a relationship. I cannot accept my partner having sex with others or even be nude in front of others.
Of course these rules also apply for myself. So it's fair.

I think it's my right to make these ground rules, if someone can't accept that, fine by me. There are enough other women in the world.

Now is that wrong?
--------------------------

I feel a little misunderstood here by many.
I don't have any problem with other opinions. I am not biased. I know a lot of people think more liberate concerning sex than I do.

That's why I am interested in your opinions. Please don't think of me as a the pope.

Kimi, I have never thought about that before, but you are absolutely right. There is no reason why everyone should feel the same way about it.

I happen to think that sex is a nice, friendly way for two or more people to get to know each other. Some people would like to throw me in jail for having that opinion. It's weird. Why can't they just show a little more tolerance?

Seattle, I'm not referring to you with that comment. I can see from your posts that you recognise other people's views as valid even if they are not right for you. I'd recommend you have a look at some of Selena Silver's comments on this subject. She states on her industry web site that her husband attends all shoots to care for her personal safety. Now there's a relationship that I really admire.

Open relationships, real sex, porn sex, swinging, fantasy sex and just plain rubbing bits. It's all good.

Really though, it depends on you and your partner in your relationship. It depends on your outlook and motivations, and how you handle things in your relationship. As long as there is mutual respect and trust, an open relationship can work.

Having casual sex with other people, sex as an occupation, or swinging just for fun are fine with me. Having emotionally bonding "real" sex with your partner is something special though.

I've have considered trying to get into the porno industry myself, but I have always wondered how is it going to affect my love life. I wondered (from a male perspective) how many actors have actually managed to settle down and get married after quitting the porno industry. And if their partners are aware of the former carrers. I wouldn't want to become just a middle-aged lonely fool.

seattle,

nothing you've said is "wrong" and i agree that some of the things you've said have been misunderstood. it's just as reasonable to want a monogamous relationship as it is to want an open one.

That would make for a great movie. Hardcore Revenge!

Same to me. Really an incredibly open post by Renee. It does show that the price you have to pay for pornstardome can be quite high on a personal level.

I think there is two ways of supportiveness: As a sexually very open minded porn fan it is certainly easy to support your girlfriend/wife in her carrear. On the other level, she might need something completely different, too: Come home and relax in an intimate non-porn area. And that´s more demanding for boyfriend/husband.

I do hope for you, Renee, you do find the boy you want for a relationship as soon as you need it. In the meantime I wish for you just to explore the joy of sex. Drunk sex, instant sex, goth-sex, one-night stands. Take it all while you can!

With your excellent performance in your films AND posts like this you won my heart, Renee. Thanks for posting here!
