As a professed porn-o-holic and newcumer to this forum. I was wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction on how to get some porn starlets autographs or signed "memorabilia." I live in a small town and don't get any star dancing at the local titty bar. Thanks for any help.
Anal doesn't hurt. If you don't believe me, you can ask my dad as soon as he gets out of jail.

hi onyourfaceortits:
welcome to adult dvd talk. the best way to get signed stuff is to go to a trade show - there are shows in las vegas, LA and atlantic city (if you want more info on these let me know.) if you're too far from these areas then try eroticbid.com or ebay. also check out specific stars sites for contests, giveaways, and signed stuff for sale. we have a few star sites listed here.
we do some giveaways as well - all of them are announced in our newsletters, which you can sign up for here
If you live in a town where they come and dance or come to an adult store you could probably get one that way but you probably would have to pay for like a polaroid which they would sign. I got one with Kylie Ireland that way at a Halloween Party from 96 but also at the same party I got Serenity, Jenna Jameson, and Ron Jeremy for free. Of course I had to pay for my ticket to get in but it was one heck of a party, Grandpa Al was the MC.
Sorry but forgot to welcome you to our nice little forum.
If you don't get them yourself, you'll never know if they are authentic or not. I was given a TINA TYLER signed promo sheet and won a few other things but I'll only be satisfied when Tina comes to visit and she signs a bunch of my stuff. I had Jill Kelly and Haven sign a few things for Astro and I-I took pictures of them signing the dvd cases too. They aren't for sale (I tried to get the stuff personalized in case I got greedy later on) but maybe the next time the gals are in town, I can get them to sign more stuff for some of you.

if you do write to a star, be sure to send a self-addressed stamped envelope, if you only want their autograph on a piece of paper. If you want a picture, they'll probably charge, so write ahead of time to ask.
Like most people said, the best way is to see the girls in person. You can take a polaroid and make it more special.
Evil- It was definitely me. (the DVD advantage promo?) I know some stars do stuff like that. That's why I have to keep my promotions small, because I'd never have time for something that took up a ton of time.

when you see a giveaway for 5-10 items the signature is probably real. i know that for the giveaways we've done the studios and stores have gone to great lengths to get stars to sign items - you wouldn't believe how great the lengths in some cases (not tricia, of course, because we all now she does what she says she's going to do :)
yeah, when you see 50 signed dvds or something, chances are the sig isn't real. but don't be too skeptical.
I've never really understood the attraction of an autograph. The only thing that I can think of is it being an excuse to meet someone that you would like to meet.
I have had a bunch of autographs on promotional slicks that I have gotten at previous East Coast Video Shows, but I would have been just as happy just speaking with the girls and taking a photo.
I have either given all of these autographed slicks to a video store because they wanted to hang them up, or have thrown them out. Even autographed box covers are tucked away in a closet along with a bunch of un-autographed (is that a word?) box covers.
I REALLY don't understand why someone would want an autograph of someone sight unseen (I do realize that many people want this, I just don't get it).
This is not meant as a condemnation of those who do enjoy autographs. Please explain to me what it is that makes you enjoy someones name on a piece of paper.
Bill I think it is just one of those things that most people don't have. Most guys know who the girls in the industry are but when they see one of their buds with a photo of that same girl on the wall with a little phrase like "Put it in Gere" (one of Ashlyn Gere's favorite little phrases) it just raises it to a whole new level.
Though you are right the chance to meet the girls is more important then anything else. I haven't picked up an autograph slick in years unless the girl makes me.

I think you already answered your question. An autograph is just a little memento of the day we met someone we admire. Some people value that more than others. But hey, it's a harmless hobby.
Planet Sex, That's the part that I said that I DID understand. What I don't understand is why someone would want an autograph without meeting someone (like mailing away for one).
Although the photo with the star is the best, I like the autograph very much too. Especially all the cute little sayings they tend to come up with. Among my favorites are some of the autographs that I got put on my T-Shirt at CES 2000. Tina's of course. Then there was the autographs that Shayla Laveaux and Christy Lake did. They both pulled out my shirt and signed on my crotch then sealed with a kiss with lipstick that left quite a mark. The one that made me laugh the most is the one that cute little trickster scamp Asia Carrera gave me. She wrote "kick me" on the back of my shirt.
Proud member of the church of Tina.

Oh, okay. Sorry, I think I misunderstood your question. Well, I have a nice answer for this, because I actually KNOW people that does that. They show the autographs around and tell "See? See? I've met (insert person's name here) in person!!!". A big fat lie, of course, but who can prove otherwise?
Of course, that's NOT a rule. I have a number of comic books signed by artists I never met (and probably never will), and to me it's like a "personal touch". Like an original Picasso, or something like that.
The fact is, every person has his personal approach to an autograph. Some people are really OBSESSED by that, and I, sincerely, don't think that an obsession is something that can be logically explained.
I just want to say that when it comes to signing autographs I get a lot of requests. I may not always be on top of things but, I never let anyone else sign something for me. I refuse to give away any chance that I might have to sign something for someone. It's one step closer to my fans and I don't like losing that spot. I read every letter I get and when I can I try to reply to each and everyone of them. I don't always get to them all but, I try real hard. Right now I am waiting to get enough money so that I can send out some autographs that are long overdue. I just hope that all the addresses are still good. I also sign things in person anytime or anyplace. Feel free to ask. Best way to get an autograph is send me something to sign and you'll get it back faster than any other request. Hugs and kisses.
From what I understand.. or was told.... please don't anyone hold their breath, the new site should be done very soon... apparently traffic has been going to the url and my manager reads the stats... upon noticing that people are waiting .... he has put a little pressure on the site getting done... so hopefully it will be done soon... I myself am looking forward to having up. Although I didn't do it personally I did help a lot with the ideas of how I wanted the site to look... I also wrote all the intros for each page.. This time the new site is more true to me than the previous one.. I put more of myself into it.. so I hope that you guys like it... I told them to go ahead and put up what they have right now and worry about adding other things later... that way we can at least get going.... hope that is ok with everyone... we'll see what happens...
I'm not surprised traffic has been going to your site. And as for whether getting the site up and running as soon as possible is ok with everyone, I'd be surprised if there were any objections.
There's 2 of us here who can't wait. I've seen from the clubs you have (on Yahoo and MSN, which are really great by the way) that you used to have a webcam. Will you still have one on the new site? I do hope so.
I think I said it somewhere else.. but, thought I might say it here too. The new site is up and the cam is running. I hope to see you guys there. Thanks for everything. hugs and love
