I don't think that we have any less attractive performers now than when those performers were active. Is it possible that HD is emphasizing skin blemishes that would not normally have been visible in a lower resolution but are now hard to miss and therefore you think todays women are less attractive?
As a whole, the women today are FAR MORE beautiful than they were decades ago. I watch a ton of porn and and constantly amazed at how hot these girls are today. I'd have to think that will the current lower sales of porn and some of the recent scares and controversies of the last year or so porn isn't attracting the same level of girls that it did a few years ago. Also, I think there are less new girls getting into porn these days in general and with less girls there's a lower percentage of pretty women overall. I think there still good-looking women coming in but there just aren't as many.

Completely wrong. It's the opposite. The hottest girls are no longer a select few, they're scattered all over the place because there are so many. You can have a random no-name and she may still be a 10/10.
Whether you are blown away or not depends partly on you and not just on the ladies. Because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, which is affected by your age, your health, your hormones, and other things that change over time. The only fair way to compare the past with the present porn is to look at them at the same time now. Because this eliminates any bias you might have as a result of being younger in the past and having a stronger sex-drive in the past than now. I'd say that beautiful and sexy women are usually beautiful and sexy in unique ways. Which means that once the lady you like goes away, then you are going to miss her forever. There will never be another one like her. And this is true for all porn ladies, from both past and present. There won't be another Uschi Digart, Seka, or Samantha Strong. And there also won't be another Sylvia Saint, Brianna Love, or London Keyes. They are all unique and irreplaceable.

It's very subjective..so I can see where he's coming from. But I also have to agree that I think there are a lot of very pretty girls in the business right now. Some will become classics: ie Lexi Belle, Stoya, Jessie Andrews. It's cyclical. Girls have a shelf life (I wish some of the men did..ie Eric Everhard). A new batch will come and leave just like in the past.

Everyone has different tastes and different critera. I think Tori Black is pretty but I don't find her "sexy". For me "sexy" beats "pretty" every time. I think there are lots of pretty women in porn but some of them do nothing for me. However, there are women who aren't as pretty as some of the ones considered pretty but are turn-ons because of their sex appeal. I think being sexy elevates a girls looks. Of course the ultimate is when a woman is both beautiful and sexy....but it's very common to be one without the other.
I thought this was about new girls who have been entering porn over the past year or so not about the current crop of today's pornstars in the biz. If this about the current overall collection of women I'd say it's probaby the best overall looking because hard times have weeded out a lot of the so-so looking ones because they probably had a harder time getting gigs. I think more of the porn releases have a stronger cast these days than they mostly had in the past when studios were pumping out much more stuff and had to spread the top girls out over releases.
It is the same for me ,but the OP talked about look only , As for Tori I though the same she looked too much a doll for me and actually I discarded anything with her in, then I saw her performing a couple times , well she's not just pretty. At any time in Porn there has been NOBODY who is as attractive as women like Isis Taylor, Jynx Maze, Bobbi Starr.
Since seeing the whole "Pornstars without make-up" thing my views about pornstar beauty have changed. Not to say that the women pictured in that article were bad looking but I was surprised how so many in the article were average looking without make-up and how some of the girls who started out looking good without the make-up weren't always the ones who ended up being the best looking when totally made up compared to some who did didn't. You'd figure the women who started out looking best without make up would end up being the best looking when all made up but that wasn't always the case. So with me I used to be surprised by how porn got so many pretty women but now I think about how porn is able to make so many girls look so pretty. But I'm only concerned with the end results and the end results gives us pretty women so I'm happy.

I think most of these younger ladies are gorgeous... right up until I spot a tattoo spot some weird piercing. There are some amazingly beautiful women in porn that I will no longer watch because of the tats. Other than that, I think they are as hot or hotter than in the past.
I can't believe that out of the ones that were mentioned the most(Tori Black and Bobbi Starr) it's Tori who is accused of being overrated looks-wise and not Bobbi. I think compared to a few years ago and now theres some truth to this, lots of modified unnatural girls now compared to a few years ago. Lexi Belle Bobbi Starr Lilly Carter are exceptions to the rule. Girls as pretty as them are much less common now. Over done plastic surgery and a shaved head are not things I find attractive. I buy porn for the fantasy. I like watching girls I might find sitting in a college class. I dont like looking at girls i might find at county jail crying.
Not saying Tori isn't pretty but fans and the porn biz went ga ga over Tori's looks for awhile. Bobbi never got that type of attention so of course people will say Tori's looks are over-rated compared to someone like Bobbi who is goodlooking but isn't judged nearly as much for her looks. Personally, I like Bobbi's overall look better. Tori has more of a classic type of beauty but Bobbi has a "cuteness" about her that's very appealing. Once you get past the face and compare bodies I think Bobbi blows Tori away. Tori has a "nice" figure but Bobbi has a much sexier figure. It all comes down to preference.
Hmmm. Like a bisexual performer, I go both ways on this issue. It's clear that the bar has been raised for how beautiful the "average" performer is now compared to way back when. She's visually striking these days, and "brings it" so much more than the average performer of old, to the point that many of today's unsung starlets would have gotten the contract spotlight in previous decades. Just by being more of a double threat than the competition in past years (scoring high in both looks and actual sex aggression). Or, like others have said, today's performer is whatever floats your boat because you can find all sorts of naked people to suit your desires, and the past can't match that. On the other hand, we are in the post-post-post-post-AIDS scare era. Which means that after so many scares there's probably an entire species of super-hotties we're no longer seeing get naked because they have other options and are not willing to take the risk. (Just as the best strata of strippers has fled from stripclubs as the clubs have become seedier, more of a dodgy affair.) So the upper-middle ranks of pornstars are much more solid, but the upper-upper echelon might have dried up in ways some folks haven't noticed because it's an invisible phenomenon. High calibre babes have been replaced by high octane performers who look really good in motion and pretty good while still, so the drop-off from mega-babes to super-babes goes unnoticed. Hell, in terms of lustiness the new porn might not be as good, but there's been a definite improvement in outright friction. The friction content of today is going to blow away past eras, there's no argument there. So the "intensity" of pornstars has gone up, but notice I put the word intensity in quotes because it's often just physical frictioning coupled with bad acting that just can't be believed at all, really. So the actual impact & appeal of much of this porn has gone down, even while the level of action has shot sky high. Some viewers never have a problem with that. They're able to keep this truth from reaching the erection-killing part of their brains, and so for them this really is "the hottest porn era ever!" And after some of these rockem' sockem' movies I agree with them! Often, though, I'll see through the veil, and the scene only makes a very shallow impression on me because there's really nothing impressive to be witnessed there. Shallow heat, shallow response. So I can see why some people say past pornstars were more attractive, if they're really talking about appeal. in the past the stars had the ability to leave you wanting more---something that is NO LONGER POSSIBLE because these dongs are wearing people out in front of our eyes nowadays. Starlets no longer have the option of leaving us wanting more. They're getting stretched out real good. Which is a good thing if the scene fools you into being turned on, and a bad thing if it doesn't because that's like 35 minutes of Egad! And the friction star often isn't as skilled at the lusty stuff that fools the dingus into getting totally turned on. Some elder-starlets do a better job of fooling me by sprinkling in a richer mix of actual hedonism to their performance. Are some bits and pieces of the artform being lost along the way???? So I'm torn. (Mentally, not rectally). Because those earlier porn movies I've rewatched lately sure have been..... BORING!!! I find myself wishing they had the more thorough scene lengths of today to go along with their less homogenized approach. I guess I want the best of both worlds, and it's always been either one world or the other. It's like in a perfect world these starlets would be put through the ringer....without having to be put through the ringer! Being put through the ringer makes everyone less beautiful! It's a sweaty mess, ....which is hot, sure, ....but not every time. Because these conveyor belt scenes render everyone the same. If no one stands out because all 200 starlets have been doused in oil from minute one and then DP immobilized the entire scene, it's tougher to see how beautiful they are. Maybe sometimes people say older porn had more beauty in it for this reason??? It didn't homogenize as much. Oh well. Congrats if you got through it all. Well, actually, with regard to tattoos... YES!!! I've dated a few women that have tats that I didn't know about and once I found out, no more dates. I tried really hard to get past it with one gal. She was super sweet and very cute, but it's a boner killer for me.
