Many porn girls (Teagan, Tawny Roberts) have made appearances on "The Man Show". Ashlyn Gere also did a guest shot on the old "Silk Stalkings" tv show, and Ginger Lynn was on "NYPD Blue". The cable tv channels offer the best opportunities for porn girls, as well as movies that require nudity. Jenteal was in "Made" with Vince Vaughn, Stormy was in "40 Year Old Virgin;" and, less successfully, Tawny Roberts was in a cut scene in "Shade" with Sylvester Stallone, Jaime Foxx & Thandie Newton, and Alicia Klass was in a cut scene in "Cruel Intentions" with Sarah Michelle Geller & Ryan Phillipe. But, I guess this thread isn't about movies, but tv shows. Bottom line on Porn Girls and tv is: no porn girl, with the exception of Traci Lords, has ever had "real" success/a re-occuring role on a TV show after appearing in porn. And the fact that Traci disavowed (and was "forgiven") her under-age porn career, and is viewed as a "victim" of the industry, probably accounts for her acceptance by mainstream entertainment. [Link]

The funny thing was that even though they used their stage names, the show didn't really acknowledge them as pornstars. Their adult film careers were never plainly mentioned. At the same time anyone and everyone can be on these shows. Kayden Kross has appeared once, as did Minka, and they also had a scene where Gene was a judge on a "Porn-Star Idol" type of show. I'm hoping Taylor will have some appearances in the new season. Chelsea Handler's show had a couple of porn stars as guests in its early days--Kelly Madison and her husband, and Tera Patrick. The show doesn't have porn stars on anymore--I guess Chelsea has gone Hollywood. Now Ginger Lynn was supposed to be on that one Fox drama where the son of a prosecutor fell in love with the daughter of a porn producer--I forget the name, but it was supposed to be like Romeo And Juliet, but more sex scenes. It got canceled before her episodes were aired, though. Letha Weapons also did an episode of Married With Children. She played a stripper at Al's favorite club. I don't think she had any lines--a shame, as I always thought Letha had a really nice voice. I remember when Hyapatia Lee and Nina Hartley were on Geraldo Rivera's show back in the late Eighties; in the last fifteen minutes he pulled out a couple of anti-porn ministers out of the audience to harangue them for being porn stars. (Yeah, Geraldo was being a douchebag--big surpirse there.) And don't get me started on Sally Jessy Raphael--I prefer to let her lie in the obscurity she deserves. Perhaps the most sympathetic talk show towards porn stars was Bob Berkowitz's show Real Personal, which aired in CNBC during the Nineties. Its subject was human sexuality, and they would have any number of sex therapists, doctors, authors and other guests talking about all things sex-related. Vanessa Del Rio was on the show, as was Seka and Candida Royalle, and they all seemed to have a great time.
