Some have had nicknames their whole life and it ends up becoming their second name they are attached to so hey why not use it. A stage name is cool because you do not normally have the opportunity to say if I could name myself what name would I choose and you can have fun with it. [Link]

I wanted to keep my real first name, and after a bit of self-brainstorming while I was doing a half-marathon (I seem to do my best thinking either in the shower or while running), I decided to see how many "Cummings" were listed in the San Diego phone book; when I counted 125+, I decided that it was not an uncommon name, so I selected "Dave Cummings". I now own the trademark for "Dave Cummings". Dave what's-his-name! [Link]

"Lonnie Waters" sounds pure and sexy....feminine, because water is soft. I dunno about "Krystal Steal".....just sounds awesome....I tend to picture somebody cool, calculating and sleek, like "Steel" yea?
