Most scenes being shot today are all shot for a particular movie - there is a theme or fetish being captured (i.e., anal creampie or interracial, etc.) and a look/feel that ties the "unrelated" scenes together. For example, I am shooting a scene with Justin Slayer in January for Tom Byron for his "White Up That Black Ass" line - all the scenes are black guys and white girls.
There are some times a scene is shot when a director/studio really wants to shoot a girl but doensn't know what movie they will put it in yet. This happened to me when I first started shooting. Robby Fischer of RLD my 3rd or 4th scene ever not knowing what movie he would put it in (it ended up months and months later in Assault that Ass 3).
There are a few times when a director may intend to put a scene in one movie, but for various reasons decides to put it in another as well. This happened with a DP scene I shot for Pat Myne of Metro's Fusxion with Manuel Ferrara/Steve Holmes. Apparently, the scene was so hot and strong that he decided to put in his Double Impact line.
But, for the most we know what movies we are being booked for. I think some girls don't ever ask, but I ALWAYS do so that I can share the news with my friends and family at ADT and in my Yahoo group who are eager for upcomming releases news and so I can support the movie once it comes out.
