I apologize for the treatment you have received from one of the moderators here. That is not acceptable behavior for anyone on this site and especially not a moderator. I will deal with it on this end.

As for the porn vs. high school topic, I've been around this business since early 98 and have often compared it to high school when explaining it to non-industry folks.

Shoneshon, I agree to an extent. Some hear are constantly kissing ass and that's their choice. I don't believe the mods here expect us to do that. They do want us to treat the porn performers who come here with the same repect that we'd like to recieve. The same is expected of them. I don't think, or at least I hope, the pornstars who come here don't think they should be put on "pedestals" just because of the jobs they have. If so, they'll obviously be disappointed if they stick around long enough...

I do understand that the mood here at ADT has been changing, but really folks, it's just an online forum. I myself have been tempted to just say "fuck it" a few times now due to things said or done to me on the boards, but at the end of the day, who gives a shit?

People don't come here for emotional support (or at least they shouldn't), they come for the cornucopia of porn-related info and entertainment in general. Call me an asshat or remove my post from time to time - it's all part of participating in an online forum.

I hope Jewel will stick around. Porn is exactly like high school, and ADT does reflect that to some extent, but I'd enjoy it more if it didn't. Well, sometimes . Maybe we can all aspire to "freshman year in college."

That said, when producing a product some negative comments have to be expected. The whole six-sigma quality control thing as well as ISO9000 shows that errors will happen. I disagree with the way things were said in that thread, but the basic premise remains. People will take a faulty product personally.
Getting personal about it will generally get a a persons back up. Bad things will probably ensue.

She had a problem with some DVD's? Okay, she (or her company) MAY have made a mistake and MAYBE it took a little while to fix it. Congratulations, they're human! They are still fledgling, it was bound to happen, now they have a handle on it and they'll move on.

Personally, I have no clue what a "halo" is. If I saw it, I didn't notice, and I have a huge fuckin' television.

E.A. has been around a LONG TIME. Christ, my ATF movie is from them, and it came out in like 1990 or something. I'm sure they have had alot more experience with damage control than PXP. PXP I'm sure will learn from this and know what to do in the future.

There's a reason PXP is already big business. They are a great company, putting out quality movies. They seem to be an unstoppable juggernaut. In fact, Luke Ford posted a company is going public soon and I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be PXP.

I obviously don't know Jewel or the other participants, but some of what was said or the attitude that was conveyed seemed deep... Deeper than ADT. Maybe there's something we don't know.

Anyway, I hope Jewel reconsiders. I likes knowing one of my ATF was posting here, and I looked forward to reading what she had to say. I feel bad for her. She came to participate between all the other stuff she has to do, and she pretty much was shit on a lambasted for a mistake that could have easily been addressed through a few emails or some other from of communication... NOT a public forum.

I have also noticed people taking shots at her too, and on top of this, I can't blame her for wanting to leave.

You just have to separate the wheat from the chaff, accept that a certain percentage of what you read in any online forum is going to piss you off, and keep trying to extract the positive. I know it can't be easy for industry types to make that balance work, so I've always respected Brandon for doing a good job of it, and Tom Byron back in the day. And I seriously believe that on balance they gained a lot of goodwill from the consumers here, as have others. The price is, they expose themselves to taking some shit, some of it justified, much of it not.

Life is about tradeoffs. We manage them as best we can.

Jewel's responses were being "evasive", Bill was overly aggressive with his posts and Tricia walked into the middle of it at the wrong time and got a stinger in the eye.

I suggest people walk away from the message forum for a while and concentrate on their real issues. Sometimes the keyboard is like a loaded gun.

This is very P.C. of me, but this is a good time to remind everyone to read the Forum Etiquette

One of the special things about porn is the unique close relationship between fans, performers and the industry in general.
Like it or not, Jewel is one of us. Sure, she benefits by promoting PXP and herself on ADT. But, she is also a porn-loving participant here.

You beat me to the punch. I thought that was a big headed, self centered statement. Is she telling me that her frustration is going to cost us female performer participation?

Based on what I read, I can tell you all this. Sounds to me like the issue that Bill had with Jewel went deeper than a single post about defective DVD's. It also sounds like The issue Jewel had with Tricia went deeper than a single DVD run.

It did not appear that this was the appropriate place for Bill to air his laundry, but Jewel could have taken the high road. Instead she lashed out at more than one person. At the same time, she should not have been name called from the jump.

Jewel has used this board, like 85% of the industry people to plug her works, and company, and I hate to say it, but nothing is free. If you post, and promote your business, sooner or later somebody is going to make a less than positive postabout you, your company or your business savy. Let's face it, there are always people waiting to see you stumble.

Jewel is a good performer, but those days appear to be long gone, either way I don't think that entitles a person to insult fans. My first interaction with Jewel was during the HIV scare earlier this year. In the main thread she insulted a large section of the board by "Name Calling" those of us that questioned Ms. Mitchel's ability, and qualifications to run AIM. Supporting some one is great, but insulting others is not cool. In lieu of that she came off as someone who is hot headed, and over acts. I'll leave you with this.

Here in Seattle Ken Griffey Jr. was a hero. He was the first person to be painted on the Niketown Building, and did comercials for the Boys Club, YMCA, Childrens Hospital, and United Way.

At the end of his career here in Seattle he was caught weekly in the media yelling, cursing, and insulting kids. Needless to say nobody missed him when he left, and his downhill career after Seattle was a welcome fate for all of us.

Jewel, you are in the public eye, and if you head a company, I'd have more respect for you for taking the high road. Many eyes are on you, and I'd hate to see you remembered for a heated exchange other than your body of work.

Porn is fantasy, this is reality, and the reality is this whole situation could have been handled with more class on more than one level by more than one person, and don't lower yourself.

The irony is "Ass" is the last half of Class. I know men in porn love to bring up the rear, but in this case it is not flattering.

Jewel has said once before that she does not have thick skin and wants it to stay that way.
Jewel posts in a lot of threads and contributes to a ton of topics. she does not solely stck to press releases, like some do. She is a human being, and a girl and her feelings get hurt too.She has every right to react,even if she is in the public eye. I am sure every ones reactions were not only to the words you see posted.
AdT is a great board and a great tool but Jewel had a great career before she ever came on here and I think what is arrogant is to say her lack of participation on the board is going to kill her business, the porn market is much bigger than our world.
