So a person could be, for example, 90% straight, but there's still a little gay in them. In this case, they likely wouldn't even think about it much, they'd consider themselves straight, but under the right circumstances, with the right person, suddenly they could be attracted to someone of the same sex. Or vice versa. So in the case of a movie like what the OP is describing, maybe there's a guy who identifies as gay, but under the right circumstances, he could be seduced by a woman. By the way, I've known this to happen in the 'real world', on a few occasions. You may have seen it happen too with someone you know. It's not THAT uncommon. For more info about this idea, check out Dr. Alfred Kinsey, who, while not the first to talk about this concept, was probably the first to try to scientifically analyze it. See the Kinsey Scale for more info on the spectrum of sexuality. BTW, there was a good movie made about Dr. Kinsey (called Kinsey) starring Liam Neeson and Laura Linney in 2004 that's worth seeing, not just because of the topic, but also because of a fantastic performance by Linney.
