I'm not religious at all either - and the very first time I saw porn featuring "nuns" I was mortified.

For some reason or another, Nuns and other religious themed porno has never been popular in the US. Some of you may know the famous stag The Nun's Story , dating from around 1950. A young woman begins in a habit, slowly removes it, has a scorching sex scene (very professionally shot, I might add), then after the sex is over, puts back on her religious attire, and presumably wanders off to mass or the like. Supposedly the nun's uniform was too outrageous for some of the private audiences of the day, and the beginning/end sequences of her in the nun's habit were cut from the reel.
More recently, Lasse Braun shot nuns being raped and sodomized in a couple of his early loops (1970). Sam Weston made An Act of Confession in 1971-2, which has all sorts of sex with clergy, cum shots on the alter plates, etc. culminating with a blowjob for the Messiah. This one has been on the "never to be re-released" list ever since.
I believe Zupko did a few profane things with Bibles and clergy in his early Extreme titles. And while we're on the subject of Japanese porn (from a few threads back), Ryoko Mizusaki did a couple of bukkake scenes in a nun's habit. Very strange. It is a little strange that religious themed porn isn't more popular in the US . My thought had always been that people watched taboos which subverted their own beliefs or in some way played upon them . For example the great love of interracial sex in America could be linked to some underlying feeling of black male sexual supremacy - the old fear that black men had huge dicks and want your white woman . Using that thinking it would stand to reason that Christian imagery should feature prominently in the porn produced from such a God fearing country , yet it's not the case . Why ? There's a heavily repressive streak running through most forms of organized religion , why doesn't this find its release on the sex screen ?
Does the US have more of a Catholic bias in its Christian makeup I wonder ? But that doesn't explain it either , because the main countries which do produce 'Christian porn' are largely Catholic ( with the exception of Germany ) . Is the thought of mingling sex and sacrament a taboo too far for Protestants ? Maybe that's a question to be raised at next Sunday's sermon .

IIRC, the US is more Protestant than Catholic, though if more people were honest, it could be said that we barely believe. Only the Catholic tradition has nuns, so the Protestants have no personal reference for nun sex to be taboo. You need to be whacked with a wood ruler a few times to get it in your head. Further, from your previous point, nun sex would be made in Catholic countries because it is taboo. It isn't erotic to anybody who just saw women in concealing burkas/habits. The strict physical discipline nuns are known for also makes them perfect for bondage themes. Again, a ruler across the knuckles and/or ass really makes the point.
Bingo. The Catholic Church doesn't have a mystique anymore because of all the scandals and basic idiocy by the Vatican. The next best taboo is sodomizing someone with a Menorrah.

Not quite right on this, croy, the Anglican Church (Protestant) in England and its branches around the world (called episcopal churches) have religious orders of sisters (nuns) and brothers (monks). The tradition is less strong than in the Catholic church, I agree. Other smaller protestant churches - Baptists, Presbyterians - do not have nuns or monks.
Although christian, I have no problem with the fantasy of nuns as sexual objects. Some of them are extremely beautiful and sex is a good thing! Its a matter of fact that some of the Protestant orders in US have very liberal views about heterosexual porn. They might even entertain the idea of participating in a flic - these orders are always short of cash . Just a thought.
Good catch, I forgot about the Anglicans. IIRC they are the only Protestant church with Catholic recognition.. In the United States, the Anglican church is the smaller Protestan church. The point is that in the US most people don't come from a tradition with nuns, so they don't get much from nun porn.

I grew up Episcopalian and never saw a nun. My family was rather religious, and I still remember being confirmed at 0900 am while still drunk from the night before. That was in 9th grade, and is another story.
But, I don't think nun porn would be anything special to me because I had no contact with them growing up. It wouldn't be a taboo bashing thing for me.
Now, the time I had sex with a girfriend in high school on a Salvation Army church altar . . . that taboo got me off. It was obviously after hours and we were the only ones there, but it felt just nasty and sacrilegious enough to make it fun.

I agree with you. There has never been a good porn film of this type made in the United States. The Italians know how to do them right.
I think there is some nun action in a couple of Extreme Associates movies. I think one scene in Cellar A Whole New Story has Tiffany Mynx and another girl as nuns, but they lose the wardrobe before the action even starts, if I'm not mistaken. I think they did it in one or two other films of theirs but I can't remember what titles they were.
One time in catholic grade school, all the guys in our class went in the bathroom and jumped up and down on the toilets, climbed the walls of the stalls, and urinated all over everything--not just on the urinals but also outside of the appointed place for urine. We all made loud jungle noises as this was happening. It was one of those revolts that had been building up for months. Afterwards the nuns made us scrape 5 year old cat shit off of the convent driveway. Then there was the time when our entire class hid behind the baseball backstop and refused to come in from lunch because we were protesting how the yard duty lady wouldn't let us roll up our pantlegs--it was the cool thing to do that year, but it was technically a violation of the school uniform code.
