Well recently I ordered some titles from a US retailer which were almost dest5royed by customs for the stupidest things

Please twins volume 1 (Anime from bandai) was classified as child/incest porn.

Ghost in the shell 1 and 2- pornographic material
Resident evil apocolypse- no bilingual text
Fifth element ultimate edition- illegal copy (no UE exists)

I fought it and it took 2 weeks but i got my titles finally.

But one of the things customs told me is porn for personal use is banned from being imported into Canada.

Now from what I read on these forums, porn is usually imported with no problems, even my own experience with five star dvd had no problems other then getting hit with taxes.

What I'm interested in knowing is if anyone had any problems with importing hentai (adult anime) into Canada or does hentai get destroyed by customs?

Other than "Please Twins", those are some bizarre reasons. GITS isn't close to pornographic, who cares about bilingual text if you are importing a disc for personal use, and how the hell does Canada Customs know what editions of various DVDs exist in other parts of the world??

Porn for personal use is banned from being imported into Canada?? Complete and utter BS. As long as Canada Customs doesn't deem a particular title to be obscene, it is no problem at all.

I don't know if Hentai anime is red flagged, and checked more thoroughly by customs (god forbid a cartoon character is "underage" or performing incest ;) ), but a local video store (I'm in Canada) has a huge hentai selection, so they have no problems getting it, at least.

Anyway, it's good that finally got your discs.
