Not sure if it is shown over in the States but it is based around the Vivid operation but it really is no holds barred stuff. For example, we have directors David Stanley, Paul Thomas and Chi Chi Larue interviewing new talent and because Stanley and PT ask the girls to strip, La Rue walks out as he finds it all so offensive to the girls; Jenna Jameson throws a tantrum because PT gives her lines in the 'Devil In Miss Jones' remake to Georgina Spelvin. Briana Banks breaks down during filming because her sister called to say that someone had left soiled underwear on her bed: was it a fan stalker or Banks' boyfriend? And you see Jenna and Briana in a LA restauarant without any make up and they look so 'ordinary'! I think it is great stuff because it could have been an official Vivid series with limited access but it really does show the tears, tantrums and fears of Porno. Next week, we are promised another bust up between Jenna and PT, and concerns that one of the girls trying to be a Vivid girl is taking drugs. I can't wait! [Link] |

But while such behind the scenes footage is interesting, it does remove some of the mystique and glamour surrounding such starlets as Brianna and Jenna. As you rightly state, outside the makeup and the glamouress costumes some of the girls are nothing special and the level of converation suggests they'd be working in McDonalds if they weren't getting paid to have sex. I also think the directors and producers deserve a lot of credit for putting up with the teenage tantrums and sulking and the inflated egos of some of the stars. I do enjoy such programmes however, and I recently enjoyed the series featuring Seymour Butts and his family. I think the series was called "A Family Business", and was on Channel 4. I'd like to see a series based around the gonzo market, with perhaps each episode concentrating on a particular role in the process, such as Director, Producer, male pron star, etc. [Link] |

He was stuck to the documentary maker's camera like glue , with a quip about his girls never far from his tongue . It was interesting to see just how many people he considered necessary to help shoot an outdoor sex scene . I'm no technical expert ( obviously ) but is it really necessary to have a guy holding the boom mike for what is essentially fixed action ? There were at least 6 crew there , mostly just sitting around , some with their backs to the action chatting with each other . So much for intimacy huh ! [Link] |
