Due to recent revelations about how far things have spiraled downward in the jiz biz, a new recovery group is being formed, to help us understand how normally caring, thoughtful, intelligent individuals could have taken such a wrong turn in a van, or have been in such denial that they didn't see that what they were doing was wrong.

All will be welcome, from pornographers to end users. We will also be needing members who AREN'T in denial to help those of us who are to see the light. Mike South and JimmyD have both publically castigated their fellow pornographers, which right there shows how bad the problem is.

As JimmyD said on his site:
"What the fuck's wrong with you people? Now we're going to 'almost' make a snuff film just for the sake of selling of few more pieces?

Shame on you! Shame on all of you who are involved in this bullshit! And fuck you with your First Amendment bullshit. This ain't 1rst Amendment crap. This is bullshit, and if it ain't illegal it certainly should be.

Man, I'm growing more disgusted by the day!"

Tough Love, JimmyD, and you are to be commended, as well as David Aaron Clark and Eddie Tour, among others. Hopefully you will continue to help others in their recovery. I will be attending myself, for my gulliblity and hypocrisy.

Another goal of the group will be to help others quit catering to the lowest common denominator. Regain the lost fans and public's trust.

This will not be like AA however, in fact BYOB is encouraged, and plenty of it. You're gonna need it when it's your turn to be bitchslapped by the other members, maybe even choked yourself. Someone suggested an ATM potluck social, but the Health Dept. would probably shut it down. It will not be pretty, but it is essential to recovery. In extreme cases you might even be forced to watch your own porn.

How about it guys? Let's hear it.

This is not a bad idea, but it could be a "dangerous" one, if it gets derailed by "politics". Things have to be very clear cut in these kind of initiatives. If it involves criticising or calls for "censoring" certain kinds of representational forms, don't count on me to support it. If it is about condemning abuses and monitoring unethical practices in the profilmic reality, you have my full support. THAT is also a part of both denial and hypocrisy in this business. Start thinking about what you see, hear and read and EDUCATE yourself and others.

Walter, glad to hear that you're on board with this. It is NOT about censorship, and I don't want to turn this into that debate. It has to do with common sense and education. That's not to say that it will be pc and 'non-judgemental' however. Personally, I think all this non-judgemental horse puckey is what caused the situation in the first place.

I don't think the new porn czar or a jury will have a problem making these judgements. I worry that ALL porn will be judged bad because this is what it leads to, which has been the religious zealot's argument all along.

I think we as consumers have to share the blame equally, and I wanted to give people a central place to discuss this problem, instead of spread out all over the internet.

Just to make myself clear on this. I am not 'non-judgemental' at all. But I think it is important to be very clear about what we have to be judgemental about. That is what I meant by education. Let's educate both ourselves (producers and consumers) AND the 'general public', including any possible porn czars. I know this is an utopian approach, which will probable fail in the current cultural-political arena, but I strongely believe that another approach will end up hurting the industry more in the long run than it will benefit the industry in the short run.

DB, I confess I'm not sure where you're going with this. If you want me to feel guilty about the 'bum-fuck' incident it's not going to happen. If you want me to help these 'poor souls' that perped it recover their senses that's not going to happen either. I'm not those assholes' mama. These people are adults; they crossed the line on their own. I didn't. Nor did I encourage them to cross the line, so don't lay that liberal guilt-trip crap on me.

I like women; they don't. Hell, they don't even like themselves. Well, I don't like their sorry asses either. You want me to make it so they can never hold a camera again? Done. You want me to hold their hanky while they cry about their sorry lives? Fuggedaboutit. Life's punched me in the face a few times and you don't see me looking for somebody to abuse as a result. Fuck that; fuck them. End of story. (Yeah, piss me off and I become a Neanderthal; so sue me.)

I agree, but no one is trying to lay a guilt trip on you Hardware. Obviously this doesn't pertain to you, so please don't get upset.

OK. I'm not upset with you DB. ...I'm still pissed off at them, though.

Wow, take a newcommer to the biz, and get her to fuck an untested homeless guy? Without condoms?

Was she forced?
Was she pressured?

This type of shit is why I've supported a minimum age of 21, because quite frankly there's a huge difference in maturity between 18 and 21, and it will be a touch harder for a performer to get taken advantage of.

I wish someone would release names, so I can boycott their product, and the girl should contact a lawyer asap.

Comendable intentions, dumblonde, but I think it's the wrong approach. I have come to the conclusion that this "movement" in pornography is just an ugly iceberg tip of something bigger and more deeply rooted. As the meatheaded rise and fall of jeff mike showed here recently, some of the most notable practitioners of this type of thing aren't visionaries, but LCD business people. When that demented genius Gregory Dark captured depravity, he had the moral & artistic sense to portray it as ugly, demented depravity. This new breed of pornographer isn't interested in such considerations. They aren't subversives in any sense, they are shameless profiteers. They are simply riding a trend. Now, the root of the trend, that's where the real meat of the matter lies. This stuff sells, something is being tapped into. 12 step programs or self censorship aren't the answer, just a weak balm. I say this is a social movement and has the inertia of the id behind it. The only way to understand and move past it is to let it run its course, hit bottom as most addicts must do before they see the light. Otherwise it'll keep mindlessly bubbling back up in the arena of profits. It's going to get ugly.

I agree. You either go round and put these fuckers windows through or you accept that whatever your actions they will carry on regardless.

I would suggest you put there windows through.
