Around the early 2000's, gentlemen's clubs used to have pornstar feature dancers every weekend. Always a good show and it was fun to rap with these ladies if the opportunity presented itself. Seems like the stars dont feature dance as much these days - don't know why - but seems that way to me. The forum would also be a good place to promote, like this club does here.
I guess that depends on where you live. At least 100 girls in adult are actively featuring around the country. If you live near a metropolitan area, there's a good chance that one or more clubs offer feature dancers at least once a month for weekend stints ( usually Thursday-Saturday ). Some of the present features that are touring the nation at spots each week are: Dani Daniels, Alexis Texas, Gianna Michaels, Sophie Dee, Arianna Marie, Kayden Kross, Lexi Belle, Jayden Cole, Eva Lovia, Jesse Jane, Kendra Lust, Kendra Sunderland, Romi Rain, Abigail Mac, Jessa Rhodes, Kaylani Lei, Stormy Daniels, Asa Akira, Jayden Jaymes, Nicole Aniston…( that's 20 off the top of my head but there's many more ). I dont know...depends on the location, maybe. The places I remember that had 'em, now don't. It does cost bucks to hire a pornstar feature, and if the dollars aren't there....

If you're seeing less girls featuring, I'd argue that that's more fault of the clubs than the girls. I don't think feature dancing has gotten much less popular among performers, it's just that many clubs aren't consistently booking performers like they used to.
If the clubs arent into it, theyre really dumb. Last time i went to NY, Asa was in Sapphire. The place was crowded! Is a win win situation. Clubs sell overpriced drinks and the girls sell signed dvds for 30 bucks or so and photos for 10 or 20, not to mention the tips. I think some even do pvt dances for god knows how much. Clubs is where the real money is! PS: hate living in UK :(
This seems to make the most sense. In some spots where folks may not be throwing as much money around, the clubs forego the big name talent and stick with their house dancers. Just curious but…Why doesn't the Spearmint Rhino chain book " features " anymore? They used to be big in featuring the ladies of adult but, that seems to be a thing of the past. * fun fact: Both Lexi Belle and Kaylani Lei ( shown above ) share the same birthday ( 8/5 ).

This is just me but…and there's ALWAYS a BIG ONE… there are 15-20 cities ( and their affiliates ) that still feature…" Features ". Tell me I'm wrong and I'll be the first to the " new " venue. In the end, it's more fun than the old days ( 70s ) when you might risk a night in the hoosegow following Desiree Cousteau ( it was STILL fun!!! ).

Even up until a few years ago we would get a "name" porn star being brought up to one of our downtown strip joints for a weekend of feature dancing. I haven't heard or seen that in a long time. Too bad, I used to go to them, it was fun. Actually, what was always interesting was half the crowd would be women; whereas on a normal strip night it is 98% men. Maybe it is too expensive nowadays. I don't know about other parts of North America, but up in my city the 4 downtown strip bars we have are really struggling to pay the rent. Most of them are dead except for Friday and Saturday nights, and the vast majority of the male patrons don't do lapdancing so the girls are trolling all night trying to make a buck. some girls will end up working 2 or 3 clubs in one night trying to make the cash. Really, other than the two weekend nights it is a tough business. To be blunt, they all are owned by some organized crime types and are more of a place to move money and have a legitimate business to show. so, I am not sure the losses really matter. ^ Yeah...this is my take as well. A couple of possibilites: The feature girls may be much more expensive to hire than, say, 10 years ago. That combined with the clubs not making the money, overall, like they used to. The lesser-known stars also dont seem to do this any more. Kelsey Michaels wasn't a porn superstar - but she was great to see at a medium-sized club somewhere outside of the big cities. That would be the equivalent today of maybe Tali Dova doing a show. Its kind of a natural, really - a lot of stars got their feet wet working in strip clubs. They're basically going back to what they used to do.
Hah!!! KinkWilliams These two are for you… Never got into the projection booth but, here's a pic of the venue that was infamous in MKE during the 70s. Two of the ladies that I can remember that were there for their films were Desiree Cousteau and Georgina Spelvin. Just meet and greet…no feature dancing back then. Second pic I had to go my storage closet for. 1985 VCX Videotape. By that time, going to a theater to see a porn flick was no longer " fashionable ".
^ All good...that flick had an absolutely stellar cast. On a side note, and not that i would encourage looting or sixth degree larceny, but if nobody wants that poster... Those things have actually come to be worth a few bucks. Even with theatres going out, i would occasionally check one out from time to time. I caught Gentemen Prefer Ginger, Surfside Sex and Goin Down Slow in a theater. Place was good for the occasional live sex show - a bizarre scene if there ever was one. On a second side note, and way off topic , if you review movies for ADT, IAFD will give you a credit - like here. (gotta scroll down) Pretty cool.

I think also, and this is just from people I know socially over the years... A LOT of men don't even care or bother with strip clubs anymore. The marketplace is so much smaller than it used to be because there are so many options out there. With so much easy access to porn, webcams, sugar babies, dating sites, online escorting; stripping has really fallen down the priority for a lot of people. Also, at least up here, the girls get so pushy because it is really hard to get the lap dance money out of guys these days. That puts a lot of men off and they don't want to come into that environment. A person can not just go in and relax for a couple of hours watching the dancers; they are constantly pestered by girl after girl to lapdance and if you keep refusing you get heat from management. Less and less people can justify spending 200 bucks to get about 15 minutes worth of action. (up here it is usually around 50 bucks a song). So, most of the guys in the bar have some beers, watch the stage, and move on with their night.
Strangely enough, I was on vacation in the Baltimore area last April ( 1 week before the trouble ). During my stay, I happened to see a certain adult feature at Fantasies ( interesting place ).
Kinda like a smaller 42nd St. Never heard of Baltimore having an adult-friendly rep - but wouldn't know either way. Saw a survey on line one time that rated the most adult-friendly cities. Believe it or not...#1: Orlando, Fl.
^ wow! Thats a surprise. Wonder based on what. The city is very family oriented with the parks and everything. As far as i can remember there arent even many strip clubs or adult shops, as say Hallandale for example, where there r lots of full nude strip clubs, like Dixies, cheetah or scarlets, not to mention lots of Adult stores. Honestly that was a shocker
Survey here - Lots of hits when you Google this. Could be jive - who knows. This is more bad than good - word of this gets out, the politicians move in - as if there aren't more important things that need attention. We could all probably name a tone of cities/areas that could use the tax revenue.
