Calling Captain Jack and all pornstar interviewers! I think it would be neat to see more sides to our favorite stars. Would love to hear their thoughts on politics and current events Etc. captain jack is about the best interviewer in the biz. U need change nothing my man. But would love to get to hear some of these things Anyone know of any conservative or libertarian learning pornstars? That would be interesting! Random thoughts. Lol
^I highly recommend that you don't ask these questions because the answers might not please you and than what do you do? The performer is still the same person she was before you got your answers but now you don't look at her the same way. If you want proof of that than pick almost any performer that was active but is no longer and see if maybe somewhere in their thread certain things were revealed that might make her look less appealing. The same thing applies to everyone in the public eye. How many people look at Mel Gibson the same way today now that we know what he thinks of certain people? Do you notice a trend in his acting career since he made those outbursts?

I can see your point. Although as fans I think the majority respect the inherent privacy of the performers so it would be interesting to get to know then better without violating that line of who are you, who is your family. I know of one conservative porn star. Jessie Rodgers. She made several youtube videos you might watch. This was after she left porn, of course. I agree with pat362, it does change the way you thought of them. I listened to a call in interview with Alexa Aimes (check her Twitter) and while not about politics, she is very well educated and thoughtful. Their tweets will also tell you a lot about their possible political leanings.
^^I totally agree that this is a road that no wants wants to go do, once i found out that Brooklynn Chase leaned more conservative it did make me look at her a little bit differently and im not really sure why to be honest.
Stormy Daniels is Republican. She was going to run for Senator of Louisiana and put her political beliefs on the table during her speaking tour. Belle Knox has openly discussed her Libertarian politics (which disappointed a few people - Annie Sprinkle posed a question to her about it which Knox answered on Sex Out Loud).
How many republicans in porn realize that an ultra conservative supreme court could overturn 1st Amend protections for the industry? The DA in Podunk county in Statesota (I'm a Morel Oral fan) could then charge them with obscenity because films they made in LA were viewed in Podunk county. Even those who appeared in a film decades ago could face charges. The irony of all of this is that they will still vote for the same people that are kissing the asses of social conservatives just to lower their tax rates. Jessie Rogers just might have to haul her pretty little ass back to Brazil.

IMO any kind of offscreen knowledge about pornstars alters the viewers perception to some extent, for good or ill. That's why I'm very careful about which pornstars I follow on twitter and which pornstar interviews I read or listen to. For me at least it's very possible for a pornstar to say something which undermines my ability to accept the fantasy of her (or his, because this applies to the guys as well) scenes. A recent example is Adriana Chechik's Howard Stern interview but there are also positive examples such as Gore Gore Girl's excellent interview of Dana Vespoli. You can be a Republican and still be for First Amendment protections. I'll concede it doesn't seem like it, given the way that party has behaved, but there are Republican politicians out there who have no interest in looking under people's beds and legislating morality. The problem is too few of them are willing to speak out for fear of losing their seat. I agree, though, with leaving politics out of it. If people talk about on their own, fine. Thanks for the input guys! My point with this post is that some people like myself don't fantasize about the women being something or somebody they aren't. So for us, it's not a turnoff to know stuff that we may or may not agree with. It heightens the pleasure to know "real" stuff about our favorite stars. Now I totally respect and agree with the anonymity line we keep in the porn world. And porn fans seem to do a great job respecting that. I'm not saying that line needs to be crossed at all. I would just like to see more interviews that touch on topics other than porn. Music movies current events past job experiences or favorite food chain. Those are things that maintain privacy but just kind of give fans a better idea of the person behind the persona.
Their politics, or religious beliefs, don't interest me all that much, but I'd be open to getting their views on other topics. Sometimes it can be distracting to know more about your favorite performers, other times, it makes them more interesting. Depends on the girl for me.

There are a lot of truly interesting people among the performers. I'm starting to follow people now more for their interests than for their movies. Sovereign Syre, Dani Daniels, Mika Tan, Nica Noelle and Rebecca Bardoux are women I follow I find genuinely interesting. I understand Remy LaCroix and Micha Brooks are elso worth looking into. I'm sure others people here know about. So I'll ask: who are the most interesting (in terms of what they do off-screen) performers you know of?

Stoya and Nina Hartley, definitely. Let me add Lily Cade to the list. Lesbian porn isn't my thing, but she's an interesting thinker. I've heard of Jiz Lee and Danny Wylde. The rest are unfamiliar, but I'll look them up. [Addition} I read Connor Habib's piece in The Stranger the other day. There were some holes in it, but on the whole it was well done.
