It doesn't seem impossible - a friendly exchange of e-mail leading to lunch at a convention, and things click - but it seems pretty unlikely. In all honesty, fanboy is probably chasing someone who doesn't exist: you learn nothing at all about people by watching them perform to script or director's whim on TV, and everything you think you know is a product of your fantasies and some purported interviewer's fabrication. Reality is a far more depressing plane to exist on indeed. However, I know what you are talking about. I have had repeated exposures to this.
PS...Question: Will any single review of the new film "The Girl Next Door" (2004) point out the fact that its plot is stolen straight from the real life incident between Houston and her fan? I seriously doubt it. Most reviewers won't know and the ones that do will probably be too afraid to mention it. [Link] |
