I've noticed a lot of girls in porn retweeting warez tweets who advertise free downloads of full length scenes. A lot of these are full HD scenes -- no different than what actual paying customers get. They are often hosted on filehosts like r*pidshare, h*tfile etc. And they aren't all for one studio either. All the major websites are being hit.
Do these girls not realize they're shooting themselves in the foot? A studio pays you big $$$ to do a scene, and then when it's released, you basically advertise to all your followers (often 5,000 or more) that 'hey, go here and download it for FREE!'
Don't they understand why there is less work in the biz now?

Maybe their account got jacked. I've seen that happen quite a bit.

That wasn't the case here. Or the other recent example. Some twitter accounts are devoted exclusively to hyping up free warez downloads. They'll tweet the girls and then they'll retweet it.

The pornstar twitter accounts I'm referring to are not fakes. Some girls just don't know any better.

I'm a male, but I can create a female account on twitter and post warez. That's just same like e-whoring.
Once 10k people download that said warez, I earn 10$. Its that simple.
(I don't do it, I'm giving an example)

I don't doubt that many of the warez twitter accounts are fake. But the girls retweeting them (maybe without looking at the content) are real. That's all I'm saying...

Dude, trust me they're doing it themselves. I've mentioned it to them directly. It wasn't a big lecture just saying be aware of these links. They aren't sponsored by the studios themselves.

Maybe they're being chummy with their fans, in hopes of those fans returning the favor by joining their website or buying them wishlist gifts or buying a webcam session or something. Promotion and PR.

You guys are good at making excuses for these girls. The reality is that the files being made available for free are the exact same ones actual paying members get. Many are HD quality. It follows that some [many] people won't bother joining up if the stuff is being handed out...
Whether they are doing it because they don't know any better, or because they know but just don't care, it's a noticeable problem on twitter and an ongoing battle. Are studios doing anything about it? They are the ones being harmed the most after al.
