| Honkmeister Member 12 Posts 4/15 | Posted - Jan 18 2018 : 10:28AM And yet, I still find it worthwhile, because the whole is greater than the sum of all the individual mostly-boring snaps (which are quickly bypassed with a next-tap). By following 100+ porn stars on Snapchat, I find myself just virtually chilling inside the porn subculture, with all these little flashes of porn world life during the past day. Frankly, I find the porn subculture far more interesting than the hard core porn itself. For me to be virtually allowed inside that subculture (which is enormously far removed from my own culture) is entertaining and interesting. This may not be the golden age of porn stars, but it certainly is the gold age of porn star fandom. What's so great about it to me? It's about the BTS life, particularly when various Snapchats cross each other. And emotionally-genuine rants about things that bother the performers. And endearing moments with their pets. And emotional moments (like seeing tears after the death of August Ames). And being able to simultaneously see a cross section of the performing industry, from the feature-dancing girls at the top, to the established performers trying to keep their career momentum going, to the new girls struggling to establish themselves. And the sadness in some girls trying to have real relationships but are finding it too difficult to attract the partner they want. And the fun moments when something good happens. And going clubbing with porn stars. And watching so many of them converge on the AVN Expo. And being with them as they get constantly tested, and fly from city to city or go on vacation. And the many needle-in-a-haystack moments that are magical. I generally like porn star Snapchats, though I have unfollowed some accounts, and there are a bunch of things I don't like. My biggest gripe is when they use a high-voice filter and talk quickly, not realizing how difficult it is for people to understand what they are saying. The best ways to find porn star snapchats now is probably just by looking at their account on Twitter or Instagram; if they also have a public Snapchat they will usually list it in the bio. If you know the Twitter name you can also search Google for site:twitter.com (username) Snapchat Another way is by looking at the Twitter accounts of the various talent agencies; it's easy to find Twitter links to the girls they represent, where you can check for Snapchat account names. Another way is in the snap accounts of the production companies and major tube site snaps since they often have "takeovers" where different girls use the account temporarily and always mention their own social media accounts. (But the tube site snaps are among the very worst snap accounts, because they have so many takeovers by cam girls who flood the snap stories with dozens of ads for themselves. When it gets too annoying, I unfollow the account until I learn that a legit porn star is doing a takeover, then I follow the account again for a while.) Once you start following lots of accounts, it's easier to find even more because performers will often give snap account names for other performers they encounter during their work or at leisure. If you are looking for accounts with explicit nudity, you are more likely to find it with newcomers who are trying to build up a social media following (often eventually switching to premium). The newcomers are less likely to be on the radar of the snitchers. And who exactly are the "snap snitchers"? I usually have no idea. It could be a puritan on a self-appointed crusade to clean up Snapchat; it could be trolls and jerks, perhaps pissed off because they didn't get a personal reply; it could be someone who somehow finds it empowering to pester a porn star; several girls repeated rumors that a specific cam site was snap snitching to force girls away from giving free explicit content; it could be someone within the industry (or from a personal relationship which ended badly) who was mad at the performer and wants to get back at her; it could be Snapchat itself, more actively monitoring the suspected accounts; or there's probably another half-dozen possible reasons motivating the snap snitchers. But snap snitchers now are a part of the porn star territory, so the girls should try not to let it bother them when their account is given a "time out" (or if it does bother them, they shouldn't show that they are upset about it because that could be a jackpot for a troll snitch, knowing he successfully yanked her chain and got her upset). The premium snaps hold no interest for me, because when I am paying for any kind of channel I feel under obligation to watch it, otherwise I am wasting my money. I want the carefree freedom to watch in full or quickly next-tap through the snaps. Just like I want the freedom to channel surf TV channels, without spending much time on any one channel. But I also think that fans who are just freeloaders are not real fans. So I do give a certain amount, usually in the form of an Amazon e-gift card, to a different girl every month whom I feel has given good entertainment in her public snap stories. Overall, the world of porn stars on public Snapchat accounts has declined considerably since 2016, but there is still good stuff to be found, depending on what you are looking for. UPDATE: The changes to Snapchat at the end of 2017 made it much more user-unfriendly. More porn stars have abandoned public Snapchat, or only use it for token appearances. After viewing many porn star snap accounts every day for over two years, I finally gave up in April 2018, because the software is so annoying and the entertainment value of the stories has suffered such a decline.
