In reviewing the number of videos being released this year to date, there seems to be a decrease in the number of videos that has been release. So what do porn stars do to supplement their income when video work is not coming on a regular basis? I know some escort, but what about the ones who choose not to go this route or am I mistaken they all escort just some keep it under the radar?

They work less in hardcore scenes. Besides escorting (which some girls don't like to do), there's also Feature Dancing. There is still good money to be made on the dance circuit, but it's very tiring to dance two sets per night, and the traveling can mess with a girl's personal life.
Speaking of which, many porn girls have civilian boyfriends, and they simply spend more time together. Some girls get preggers. Some retire.
Everyone is working less.

In many cases I don't even think doing porn scenes is the most profitable of the things a pornstar does. There are girls who only do porn so there rates as an escort will go up. Some girls who dance do porn so they can charge more as a feature dancer. Lots of girls have their websites and do stuff there and have total control and get to own the content. Some only do porn movies once in awhile to remind the public they're still around and try to get fans to come to their site.
For lots of performers doing the movies mostly serve the purpose of building a fanbase or becoming more known so it can transfer over to their other ventures. Someone pointed out the other day that there are girls on the net having sex and doing stuff that get more hits than some of the most popular porn girls and they've never made a porn movie. As long as sex sells there'll always be ways for a pornstar (or any girl willing) to make money.

I make a fairly decent living outside of doing scenes. I run a phone sex line through Niteflirt, I do webcam daily through IMLive, and run my website ClubSinnamonLove.com. I also have 2 fetish clips4sale stores (one ass worship/ fart fetish store called fartgoddess.com and one FemDom called professionalDomme.net. Those are my primary sources of income. With those, I can forego shooting altogether each month and shoot 2-3 scenes a month if I choose. I also started offering pro-Domination sessions at a local dungeon and attend 1-3 foot fetish parties monthly with Footnight.com in either LA, Orange County, San Diego, Vegas and will attend my first in San Francisco this month.
I did escort for a while, but don't have the time to commit to such a hectic travel schedule. These days, I prefer beating people up when I can instead! LoL!
