Non/reduced emotional sex in the future might be a possiblity after the two of you have seen/been out with others. Right now however both of your emotions are probably too raw for this to be a good idea.

I felt like the relationship was based mostly on sexual attraction since that's really all we've done together lately. Anyway, we decided to do the "Let's be friends" thing. Anyway,I decided to let her move back in with me until she finds another place to live, so she won't have to move back in with her mother. My question to you all is do you think that people with a romantic history can be friends and still have sex? Or is it a disaster waiting to happen? I know it's a weird situation, but I figured maybe someone here has had a similar experience. -PornoPunK [Link] |

Sex with your ex while she's in your pad? Look, it's most likely going to happen, especially if what you say is true about only having sexual chemistry during the latter part of your relationship. If she wants it, just go for it. Did you ever see the Friends episode where Rachel wanted "comfort" sex with Ross after she had something bad happen to her. Ross turned her down, and it really upset her. This is pretty much the same thing. You're worried about causing problems? Well imagine how she may feel if you turn down sex from someone you used to be attracted to. Obviously this isn't always the case. All girls (or guys for that matter) are different. You know her well, how do you think she would react to rejection of that nature? That said, I wouldn't initiate it. Just go with the flow if she makes the first move. Either way it's a complicated situation. Just hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst. Good Luck. |

When and if you DO start seeing other people, and bringing them home, things are going to get very .. interesting. I really don't see "seeing other people" while you're still living together working out at all, but I could be wrong. Edited by - cobalt60 on 1/4/2005 9:17:19 AM |

If you determine that you are too different people who desire change, hey go out have fun. But, the idea of staying together given the past three years is tough and quite awkward. I feel as though you do have some bond with her that was not so obvious to you before. As you say, you "definitely missed her", but in what way? Sexually? Take the time you need to understand your feelings and talk to her. You might realize that you have the woman of your dreams... or not. |
