I for one steer clear of down loadable porn for those exact reasons, and watching people have sex will be predominantly popular for many years to come, mainly because it is still frowned upon by the mainstream. The only thing that will really kill the porn industry is mainstream acceptability. It's taboo nature is what keeps it alive!

Whatever the future brings, 2005 is definitely not the year piracy will kill the porn industry.
Some studios may fall by the wayside, but they will be the ones already hurting for other reasons besides piracy.

I know full well I can download tons of porn and non-porn movies from the net. I've even got the bandwidth to do it.
I never bother though.
The few movies and TV series I'm interested in owning, I can afford to buy, which I do.

Why? Well as I said, I can afford it and I also think of it like voting with my wallet.
If no-one buys the type of movies I like, who will make more?

Also you're forgetting that the porn industry may stand apart, but they don't stand quite alone.
The Hollywood studios neither care about or work with the porn movie industry, but their interests do coincide for the time being.
The people behind MPAA do have some deep coffers and, like it or not, the ears of Congress.

Again, I don't know what the future will hold for the movie industries, but 2005 will not be their final year.

Why should I pay $19.95 for a copy of Grand Theft Anal 6 or Fishnets when with just the click of a mouse I can download both movies for free? Surely you are aware that both of these Zero Tolerance releases are available on the Internet. I can download both movies in an hour in the background. In addition if I was really lazy I could simply rent the movie and rip it. It is so simple, a child could do it with ease.

There will not be new porn once porn producers start to drop like flies. Not my problem.
