We checked out Island Dreams after reading the numerous "perfect for couples" recommendations and we were both disappointed. Yes, the scenery was nice and the photography was nice, but it was all pretty dull. Not to mention that the lack of variety doesn't help any. Tera is great, but with only 2 other girls and guys in the cast, things get a bit repetitive. No anal, lame cumshots, endless female solo lead-ins, nasty implants, etc. On the other hand, we've been impressed with Antonio Adamo's stuff for Private. High production qualities and beautiful performers, without the prudish approach of Island Dreams. We've only seen Call Girl and Sex Shot, and surprisingly, the earlier Sex Shot seemed to be the better of the two. We also checked out Collector, another Private title from a different director, but the long stretches of plot sort of killed that one for me. Since we've been extremely disappointed with the American porn we've checked out, I'd be interested in hearing some more Euro recommendations. But, I'm still open to finding some U.S. quality, and Hustler's Barely Legal series looks like it might fit the bill. Where's the best place to start with this series? Keep in mind that we aren't really interested in lesbian scenes or those endless Island Dream-style solo female interludes. A little of that goes a long way. Another requirement would be a bit of variety in the female performers. We aren't interested in an endless string of blondes and would prefer some women of color in the mix. And no implants. Or you could try the Superfuckers series (I think they are up to #5 on dvd now). It's a little harder, but it sounds like you might like that, and it's not totally over-the-top all gapes like the Matador series. I have 1 and 2, and I think Superfuckers 1 is an excellent dvd. However, my number one Private pick would be The Perversions of Barbara. There is something undeniably hot about this flick, with a solid dash of nastiness that it not totally trashy. Plus it focusses on the sexual 'opening and exploration' of a couple. I personally have not gone into porn with my GF beyond a foray into Adam & Eve's The Garden Party. It was a mild success, leading at once to some hot sex, some fits of giggling, and unfortunately a lack of enthusiasm on her part to do it again in the near future. I think she liked it, but feels strange about admitting that she did. Anyway, if she decided she wanted to another one it would definitely be Perversions of Barbara. mp [Link] |
