| magnuspym Member USA 78 Posts 6/01 |  Posted - Jun 19 2001 : 10:21AMI just recently picked up Private Odyssey 2001 to "test the waters" of the famed Private studio, and I am a convert. My question: are scenes in Private compilations-- such as Odyssey, Millenium, Solid Gold, Superfuckers, etc.-- cut down (in terms of the sex) from the version in the original feature releases from which they are excerpted? Specifically, my research indicates that the Private/Penthouse features such as Call Girl, Fashion, and Dangerous Things might really be my 'thing'. But Odyssey has scenes from some of these, and other compilations have more of the same. Should I get the compilations, the features, or both (owners of DVD retail sites need not reply)? I can't believe the plots/acting in the features are THAT good, especially considering the dubbing issue. But I don't want to miss parts of scenes if they are cut down, or excellent scenes not on compilations. Advice? Thanks. [Link] |

As Planet said though, some of the time, the scenes in the compilations are edited a bit (often looking better than the original but that's not the point I suspect he was making). I have a few of the Penthouse features you mentioned but I'm probably not going to fully review them for a few weeks.
