Are there any good Private releases that contain the original audio track, as in not the moans and groans of some woman in a studio reading a script (if you can call it that).
Many people rate Millenium, but the dubbing ruined it for me, and i was going to buy Fetish Thearpy until I learned the soundtrack was a joke!
Also any recomendations of Private discs with great orgy scenes (still no dubbing!)
Don't Private DVD's all have language options? I would think that you would be able to find the original language soundtrack on most Private titles if you looked for it.
I forget where I heard this, but I'm under the impression that many of Private's performers don't even speak the same language. The original soundtrack might be a mix of German, Spanish, French, etc.

I remember member PrivateDVD provided a list of DVDs with direct sound. They promised to provide another update to it but have not done so. Here is a link to the thread.
Bill - generally, the language options are listed by language, not the "original sound" as such. This means if the soundtrack was English, say, then that's the default option, with dubbed French, German, Spanish. There is, however, no guarantee that the English track is original sound unless it was recorded as such.
However, it's not that simple, because some of Woodman's features seem to be dubbed into French - no original sound. Some other Private features seem to have dubbed dialogue, but original sound on sex scenes! This means people talk in one voice in English during dialogue, then in their real accent during sex!
In my experience, Superfuckers and Matador have original sound...though I haven't got all of them on DVD to be 100%. The former suffers the serious drawback of having ridiculous dubbed narration introducing the scenes, which tends to be complete bullshit!
Drew - that's right - Private's performers are drawn from all over Europe (with a heavy emphasis on Eastern Europe) and the States too (Ms Devereaux!) and though they may have a common tongue, often it's not feasible to use it. (NPI)
Why can't private get the dubbing problem sorted out? It seems to be the major gripe with most people. With all the money they spend on production and the set's , they should spend some money on elocution lessons (or electrocution , which ever makes the girls speak English quicker ). In Eve insane obsession they are all speaking English , there doesn't appear to be any voice over at all , the same in Dark side 1 .In Without limits it's back to dubbing again. I haven't bought anything by Pierre Woodman for about 2 years simply because of the crap voice over , I'm thinking back to fatal orchid 1&2 , good films but the voice over and the over the top groaning is so off putting. It's a shame because the last films he did for private look good , madness 1& 2 in particular.
Of the Private DVD's I have; Sex SLider:shag-o-rama (nikki anderson) has the original voices - speaking in english. I think Operation Sex siege does too.
AFAIK none of Woodman's flicks have OST, but are dubbed into various european languages.
The Superfuckers series from Pierre Woodman has all the titles from 1 to 12 with REAL sound during the fucking and sucking. In all of them you can clearly hear the girls moaning and groaning. Same thing with the Hustler's Superfuckers 13-15.
On Private's Castings 2 & 3 (and probaly #1 as well), the FRENCH soundrack is live, though often badly recorded. I still understand what is being spoken in French, but I was having serious trouble with some of the Russian dialog -- either Woodman needs to have better sound or I need to learn more Russian.
Of course English subtitles wouldn't kill them either. I could only use the Italian ones, but they only translated the off screen translator's voice, not what the girls were saying in their original languages.
Anyway, for all their techinical inferiority, Private's Castings series is by far the most real and thus very hot. I just wish they would catch up with VHS already! The DVDs are at #3, VHS is up to #36 or something. It is absolutely disgraceful how they treat DVD customers as second class citizens!
This sounds like a very "American" comment. The vast majority of Private movies are made in Europe, by Europeans, using European talent. Many languages are spoken in Europe. These movies are being distributed there as well as in the US.
I don't hear people from Europe bitching that movies exported from the US should be shot in whatever language they speak (maybe they do, I just wouldn't understand it because I don't understand any other languages).
I have some movies in German where you can't understand a damn thing that is being said (at least I can't). Other than the actual sex scenes, I would prefer that tne movies be dubbed if they are shot in a language other than English.
ARRGH -- I can't beleive I'm reading this in a DVD forum. Subtitles, subtitles, subtitles! No dubs, please! Whatever you do, don't kill the original language track! At worst have a dub as an alternate track, but better just to have good optional subtitles.
There have been lots of East European girls in American movies in recent years. If they speak (usually very bad) English in a gonzo flick, fine. But hearing two Hungarian or Czech chicks "act" and pronounce English dialogue sounds at least as ridiculous as dubbed dialogue - although I will still prefer it because you can at least hear the girls' voices. (Two examples: Anabolic Gangbang Girl (if think it was #23; the one with Dina Jewel on the cover). Eve and some other chick do some very unnatural English dialogue. Same in Little White Chicks, Black Monster Dicks 14, the "basketball" scene).
It's only good if it sounds natural/believable - i.e., if you can imagine them using English (as when two people from different language backgrounds find that English is their only language they have in common. What is believable or not will also depend on their level of English, of course.
To me, it sounds primarily like a "monolingual" comment. I live in a country where we are used to hearing - and using - several languages. All foreign films on TV are broadcast in the original language (with subtitles) and if we go on a holiday to Germany, most of us speak German and if we go to France we speak French. If the cast is multilingual, I would find it natural if the dialogue would be so too, with English being used whenever it is the most natural choice - just like in real life.I strongly support that - on DVD that is, where you can control the subtitles. If have lots of VHS tapes with Dutch subtitles that I don't need and only interfere with the picture.
Actually, 'live sound' would lead to a multi-lingual soundtrack anyway. "Double Security" from DBM has the original soundtrack, for example, and there is French, German, some Italian and some broken English spoken in the movie. (Just, FWIW)

I just the last 3 movies of Private thats is straight sound and no voice over. So CLeopatra ( not out yet ) will be our voices and house of Games will come out too,.. So I think all the latest versions from Director Antonio Adamo will be in English. :-)
Its only a little difficult sometimes, as you may know most of it is shot in Europe and there are s many different nationalitys and not everyone speaks English.
I agree with you. I prefer subtitles over dubbing. No dubbing of sex scenes, and try to minimize dubbing of dialog scenes.

I think the great thing about DVDs is that you should have the option of original sound or various dubs. I'm all for original sound, personally--I get irritated by the dubbed dialog/original sound sex approach, because I'm rather a fan of talking during sex. Woodman seems to direct his actors to only grunt and moan in these films, which seems odd to me. At any rate, I think a company with the budget Private rolls into many of its projects should offer original sound as an option on ALL DVD releases.
