Private aficionado and collector I must say they couldn't choose someone as far from the Private style as M. Ninn. Looks to me like they're trying hard to break through in the North American market, giving to the vast and faceless crowd of "couples" what, apparently, couples are looking for: elegantly portrayed sex "with an edge". For almost 40 years Private has represented a style, with their trademark smiling beauties, the luscious sets and the undeniable talent of both the Milton's to always bet on the right horse, be it a well-known professional or a dark horse like Pierre Woodman. If I want Anabolic, I buy Anabolic. I want Andrew Blake, I'll rent Blake. I don't need wannabes or ripoffs. Now, when I think of Private, I see all the things that forced me to stop renting and buying videos in the early 90's. And, back then, only Private Magazine 1 could change my mind. They use so much anal and absurd couplings that it doesn't have the erotic value that it used to. Pretty girls, yes. But the chemistry and raw heat are by and large missing. There are a few exceptions, and overall they are a cut above the rest in terms of production value, but Private ceases to amaze me like they did in the 90's when they were far and away better than the crap churned out in the San Fernando Valley. I think it shows Private's maturity for them to be diversifying their lines. It's nice to see that Private isn't only Pierre Woodman (not that I dislike his work, it's just that 75% of the catalog is done by him or in the same style.

You may like the new Private. It's one thing. But if you say that Adamo is Private, then you don't know much about what Private has meant, for 36 years, to many and many porn fans. Imagine if Evil Angel had hired Ninn instead of Private. "I'm curious", ok. But you'd also wonder "What has he to do with EA?". If you feel consistent and "seamless" for Private to hire Ninn, then maybe it's too late, the ship is already sinking, or sailing to waters that I don't find interesting anymore. [Link] |
