Steve - you sound like a broken record. You've made your point plenty of times. Do you feel you are doing anyone a service by constantly repeating the same thing over and over again?

Drew - I hope I save someone the trouble from shopping at Five Star....you can spend a couple extra dollars and get the whole Superfuckers series right away on XRentDVD.com
That's a very different statement. Your first post simply reiterates your opinion on Five Star's inventory status. You've been making similar postsso frequently lately that it almost seems like you're on a mission.
Your second post in this thread could actually be helpful to someone. Instead of just saying 'so-and-so stinks' you suggest an alternative that might actually be a solution for some shoppers.
I'd love to see more people using our stock status check feature of the price search. It really simplifies the stock status issue quite a bit. One click and our server queries the stock status from each retailer in real-time. (of course this only works for stores that have real-time stock status.)
Steve, it's not a question of "a couple extra dollars". I price searched volume 3, that was the one you gave a nearly perfect score to and valued at $22 last December, and the next lowest price for it was more than twice what Five Star has it for. I don't care if they take 3 months to get it to me as long as they don't charge me in advance at that price.
For those who'd like to read a glowing review, probably well deserved, of Superfuckers 3, check out Steve's own review.
Yay Five Star!

#3 was one of the best! I still would play $20 something to have the dvd right away instead of waiting 3 months.
Steve I went to the Five Star DVD site yesterday around 5:30pm and was able to purchase a Superfucker 7 and 8 DVDs dirt cheap! Later that night I noticed that they were all sold out :( I guess kudos to Five Star for having a great sale. So your bashing seems more like "sour grapes".
Five Star are generally not to bad with O/S times. Ive ordered from them 10 or so times......there was one time I had to wait a month for a title but other titles have all been back in stock in a week max. I will continue to use five star because they have the best prices and they are one of the only companies that have reasonable overseas shipping rates. Most of the other companies charge like wounded bulls.....DVDAdvantage arent to bad either.
While I generally agree with Steve K's musings (in particular, his worship of Rita Faltoyano), I have to disagree on his calculation of the costs and benefits of shopping at Fivestar DVD. It certainly does take longer to get DVD's from fivestar, but I have found that they offer *far* superior deals on DVD's than most other DVD sites out there, and, for me, that dollar difference is worth it.
It ultimately is a matter of personal preference, and Steve K is right to notify people that they should expect to "pay" more for Fivestard DVD's in the form of delayed gratification, even though you pay less in actual dollars.
Hehe not surprising at that price - they probably cleared out their inventory as well as got a TON of backorders. For that price it looked like a loss-leader anyway, so not surprising it was over fast. :)
