Does anyone know if the Triple-X serie from Private on DVD are the same versions as the VHS ones? This serie was one of my favorite serie like 10 years ago but I'm wondering if they have removed scenes or certain acts and stuff like that for the DVD release. Any info on this would be appreciated.

When releasing their ealier stuff on dvd, Private has always removed controversial material, see The Tower and Private Magazine 1.
Of course, they don't even dare to mention The Golden Triangle anymore so the only uncut version available is the 1994 vhs from Germany, with subtitles. Some shops still rent it. The US version is heavily edited.

Flankly, I can't remember controversial stuff in the great Triple X, no fisting or pissing. But I can check the few dvds that I have against the originals.

Thanks Sbando Boy, I also can't remember any pissing or fisting stuff. I can't remember even a DAP's so I hope they are the uncut versions. I own the complete VHS collection but I only want to get rid of them if I know I will get the same in return on DVD.

The Triple-X serie....those were the days man. I always looked forward seeing a new volume. I was crushed when they stopped the serie and replaced it by the softer Private Stories serie.

Have a copy of this on tape from years ago, language is French, I think, and I never watched it start to finish. Just watched the sex scenes, etc. I just thought it was the same as most of the other Private stuff that came out at the time. What's the big deal with this title, if you don't mind my asking (and my ignorance)?

I think that the US edition has been cut to remove parts of the movie where rape is more than hinted at.
Also, one of the Thai girls mysteriously disappeared from both the US version of the Golden Triangle and the dvd of Castings 24.

But the big deal is that one of the girls was 17 when they shot the movie.
Nobody has ever acknowledged it but it's not a big secret either.

Pierre promises big revelations once his site is up and running.

Thanks for the info Wally, I will buy the complete serie then. I just know it has a very good watch again value because it was truly Private at it's best. Hell, it even has some Max Harcore scenes in it :-)
