After a month with wantedlist which was horrible (throttling, no customer service, etc) I joined for free trial at sugardvd and bushdvd. I did this on the same night for both.
At bushdvd apparantly I forgot to include my apartment number (however I am sure I did as I always do with amazon, these otehr sites i have tried, etc). Anyway 7 days later no dvds. Log in notice my address was missing apt. #. Let them know. They tell me since I did that, I am responsible but they'll split the cost with me. So I called the post office and was told the items would be returned to sender with a stamp saying incomplete address.
I have not received them 2 weeks later. I am convinced they would have been returned as they would have arrived here in 3-4 days. So they should have been returned. The post office just doesn't lose mail like that, let alone four pieces, let alone mail that doesn't leave their post office.
After my terrible experience with wantedlist, I can't help but think these companies are not the most reputable businesses. Whats not to say that they don't just say they didn't receive it and make some money off me since I was on a free trial. The cost for 4 is about $80, they said split. So even 40 is a lot for me a college student.
I don't think they can claim my error caused the mail to just disappear. And that is why I am objecting to this. They gave me an extra week after canceling for them to turn up...so I have another 13 days.
Anyway, what are some thoughts on how I should proceed? I am a business student and taking business law. Plan to speak to my professor (a lawyer) and ask him what he thinks not naming the company lol.
Thanks very much for your help.
And stupid wantedlist for giving me a bad first impression to these companies. *angry*
