When I select a link to view a page, the only thing that shows up is the advert banner at the top of the screen. Of note, the banner is not even formatted to fit within the context of the formatted page, but instead, it just loads all by itself in the browser to the default location at the top left of the window. The cursor shows hourglass and the progress meter hangs at about 75%. I have to click the back button for the page I was attempting to view to load; of course the banner is there as well. On this board I see the behavior when I first log on and agree to terms of use. On a day trading board I frequent, the behavior occurs every time I'm viewing a thread and select the page number link for the next page. I'm using Windows XP with Firefox 3.0.6. Any ideas as to what may be causing this? Thanks in advance for any insight or ideas. [Link] |

Some other issues are that the page numbers for each Thread will overlap with the Author, Replies and Read columns, and when I place the cursor over the function icons that allow you to edit your post, or e-mail a fellow poster, the information telling you what it's for doesn't show before clicking it. Only the function icon that allows you to post will show the info without clicking it. Also when using the other features i.e., Icon Legend, and the rest, sometimes the page won't load and I have to close & reopen it. I'm guessing this might be because ADT's system hasn't be set up to support IE8 as it only recently came out of Beta status. Is there anything u can do on your end to fix this, or is this just something I'm going to have to swallow if I use IE8? [Link] |

So far, this seems to prevent the problems I had earlier. There's another feature that this browser has if it locks-up and then is shutdown via Task Manager. After reopening the Browser, there's a clickable prompt that allows you to go directly to the last online session/webpage you were on before it locked-up. It even keeps the exact info or status that you were in for most webpages depending on what was being done before it locked-up. Two great features to include! The other reason is that quite a few sites aren't Firefox ready and certain features that work with IE won't work with Firefox. I even tried the latest version of Firefox a few weeks after it came out and uninstalled it within a couple of days due to all of the glitches and the fact that I have far less problems with IE. Without it, most will become complacent and ruin the natural progress of where technology etc. should be, and business in particular turns into a monopolistic stagnant monstrosity-like Microsoft partially once was.
