Has anyone else had problems with Lasers Edge. I ordered Vista Valley PTA from them. When my order placed they told me it was out of stock but would be in within a couple of weeks. Three months later I got an e-mail telling me it had been shipped. Two weeks later I still didn't have my DVD. When I Wrote them an e-mail I got this responce....
From: The Laser's Edge [mailto: store@lasersedge.com
Nothing has been returned to us from your account by the post office. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to recover a missing shipment.
That shouldn't be the case. Laser's Edge doesn't charge until the item is shipped, not when the order is placed. Your card should have been charged 2 weeks ago.
Yeah, although Laser's Edge had some good prices I won't use them anymore. Out of my last couple orders, one was a usually ships in a few days which I've now been waiting 6 months for. I would be more understanding on this if they would have changed the estimated ship time fairly soon after seeing how long it was taking my order, but instead they left it on the 1-3 days (IIRC) for over three months while I was e-mailing them to question them on it every month or so. The other order was one where I ordered a mainstream set. It was titled as a set, the picture showed a set, and their fine print said it was a 1 disc release. I assumed (should have known what happens when one ASSuMEs) that it was possibly being re-released on one DVD rather than on 3. It arrived as the first part of the 3 part set. When I questioned them, pointing out that both the title and the picture showed it as being much more than what arrived, I was just told that it was listed as 1 disc lower on the screen and that if I wanted they could order me the box at a substantially higher cost (without even offering to take the one I ordered due to their mistake back). After that Laser's Edge became one of the only Adult DVD Talk affiliates on my "Do Not Buy From" list (I think I've had three total, and the other two aren't around any more).
I have to defend Lasersedge because it's my favorite store.
I've been buying from them like a year now and only had a problem with the second order but back then Lasersedge was using a different shipping company (the $1.99 int.national shipping btw). After they switched I never had a problem again and I think we're talking 50 packages to Holland so far here.
It takes around 16 days before I get my movies from Lasersedge and that's not bad for such cheap shipping. I also would like to say that Marc has been providing a great customer service towards me!
I admit that some titles take forever to get in stock, I wish they had a more up to date stock status and I also wish they would add more new movies sooner. They have to update faster.
Lasersedge is cheap and so is the shipping so I'm a very happy customer of them.
I've also been a regular customer of Laser's Edge for quite some time now and have never encountered any problems with their service. I guess I'm lucky because every title that I've ever ordered from them shipped immediately and arrived at my door in as little as 3 days. It is a shame others here haven't been as successful with their orders as I have but in situations where a certain title is out of stock it would be best to pick something that is available or just cancel the order and shop elsewhere.
The DVD was shipped at The end of October. I tried writing to them asking for help over the next six weeks and got no help. The basic response was in the e-mail, SORRY, NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. I've used FivestarDVD and Action DVD and Globalflix. All of them have been very good and very quick. All I want is the DVD I paid for. And now almost six months after I ordered I still haven't got a thing. They will not even respond to e-mail anymore.
And I did try to contest the payment with my credit card company but they told me it was too late to contest it.
I've had mixed results from Lasersedge. A few orders shipped promptly but I'm still waiting on one from an order I placed in mid-Dec. While their site says the disc ships in 1-3 days, a month has passed.
Luckily, they haven't charged my cc but I wish retailers maintain accurate inventory details on their sites. Or at least send an e-mail to customers if a delay occurs.
Marc Daege is perhaps nice but that is not enough!!! One makes trade or one does not make any.
Like the majority, I gave up buying at laser edge. The principal reason is the time of availability (6 months often, sometimes more). Being given that the number of credit card is out of use 6 months later..... And sometimes with the delivery, it is not the dvd which you ordered. And the search engine is not really effective...
I make an order this Sunday evening at Adult dvd today.Reception of the parcel this Saturday February 07.that it is job!!!
